1. Why do you game (as a hobby? pastime? boredom?)
It's fun and helps pass the time, started when i was 7. Doom is to blame :p

sometimes yeah

4. How long will you still game online/offline?
probably when everything goes completely pay to play, even for sp games..

- It's mah hobby, I enjoy it, something I do most of my time.

- Online? mmm just about 2 years now I think. Offline is 20 years counting my tv game lol but 10 years since I got my PC.

- Sometimes yes, but most time not really, sometime I lol at their moaning.
4. How long will you still game online/offline?
- Till I turn to dust :D I'd still like to game when I' m old and gray lol

Yes, also like to figure stuff out.. like finding the easiest way to beat the AI.

1st game I played online was sc1.. around the time it came out played it once or twice

Everyone moans constantly irl too... "its too hot", "my job sucks". At least moaning about a game is more interesting

Till I go blind from square eyes. Online was great when I got broadband, but the novelty wears off, Also not very relaxing. I`d rather play a relaxing game of slowly building something, or shooting AI characters in the head.

Started gaming last year out of boredom. Ever since then been hooked.

Since Bad Company 2 was released, thought an online game might help me quit smoking. Take my mind off it and all that. It worked for awhile.

I guess, sometimes it's quite funny though.

Until I cant afford to anymore.

Because if I didn't I'd probably end up coming to work with a crossbow stalking quietly from office to office as I despatch annoying co-workers.

Online - depends on what games come out - but probably as long as I have ADSL
Offline - till they day I stop breathing

Loads of fun. Better than watching movies. Make some good friends. Stress relief and an escape.

About 6 years online. Been gaming since I can remember, pretty much all my life. I wouldn't be surprised if I was gaming already the day I was born :p

Yes. Also, a lot of cheating online-mostly kids, but some sad older people also do it. People also tend to think that their opinions are made of gold and the elitists p*** me off more than anything else in life. It's like someone coming to take a dump on the thing you have enjoyed your whole life. But other than that, making good friends and meeting them "in real" life is awesome. There nothing quite like meeting a bunch of good okes online and gaming with them.

4. How long will you still game online/offline?

Until I cannot see anymore or lose my motor functions.

Just barely hanging on to 24 :D
 
Because a) I have a need to fill the emptiness inside me and b) I am a loser and a sociophobe and prefer staying indoors.

At times, but moaning is something that exists in any walk of life or any community.

hobby, it's fun, it's a distraction, challenging, interesting, interactive, it beats the hell outta sitting at a pub drinking

playing games since commodore 64, probably like 10 (I think), my first lan session was back with original Unreal Tournamanent, and started playing online... um... shizzsticks, I can't remember. I know guildwars was my first mmo.

3. Do you get tired of the online community and their constant moaning?
Not really, I get tired of know it alls and people who can take all the fun out of a game.

4. How long will you still game online/offline?
hopefully till a ripe old age, I would like to think I will always come back to playing games, even though I know as I get older it will become a lot more casual and infrequent.
