Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Do they ever like physically attack you? I won't be able to handle that lol! There's nothing worse than something nipping at your back while you're trying to run away from a hopeless situation. Like in Half Life 1, I couldn't jump in the water at some of the parts because of those sharks!

dude well I dont want to give away too much:

There are lots of enemies, and yes they do chase and attack you. And because its a physics driven game (to open a door, you have to physically go stand infront of it, click on the knob and hold down your mouse button and move the door, so you can open it as much as you want, as fast as you want, same with any object in the game) its rather intense having a very very dangerous and creepy enemy chasing you through a corridor and you have to stop and physically move your mouse to open and close objects.

its helluva intense.

Ok, but tell me that you can at least hit them with a plank or something? HAHAHA, or maybe a lantern or something... :D

Nope, no weapons of ANY KIND. Penumbra 1 had weapons. P2 is all about evasive maneuvers and how fast you can manipulate objects in real time while being chased by really really scary things. Oh and add to that the fact that your character inherits somewhat of an alter ego / split personality with some hallucinations and you got one really really scary game.

Oh my. That does sound quite different. :D

To me that is a true horror game.

Amnesia is similar. Constant tension, a feeling of almost... helplessness (which is what is really nervewrecking) and your character battling to hang on to sanity. Its hard to put into words and I certainly don't want to give away ANYTHING, Frictional have created something very unique and original here. Its something you have to experience, you'll love it and you'll hate it =)
