I was watching some of the Pacific yesterday along with 2 Eps of Caprica, the Battlestar Galactica spin-off.

Pacific is awesome, although I preferred Band of Brothers.

Same here, I also prefer Band of Brother. Not only did Easy Company see more action they where alot more disiplined fighting force. Most of these Marines, in the pacific, fight more with themselfs than the freaking enemy. Ill see as the story progresses, at Part 4 or 5 now.

I think the war in the pacific was a completely differnt kind of war than the one in europe. And the Japanese stratagy would leave alot of those young yanks pissing themselfs. But I mean did we really have to spend an entire episode focusing on their R&R time in Aus? in 4 Eps there has only been one decent firefight, 1. In BoB by the forth episode they had already taken Carantan and was still pushing.

True, the characters in Pacific are almost unlikable, BoB had loads of good characters and the story moved at a pace. Still, I enjoyed it while it lasted.

I think the fact that we joined Easy while they where still training we, as viewers, formed an emotional bond with them. Since we just kinda fall in with the Pacific there is none of that. But yeah I find it hard to feel for the mains in the pacific.

I had the same feeling. There's just nothing that can compare to BoB.
