Mwahaha ... I remember doing a Fort Aspenwood battle with my Ele and going toe-to-toe with a Warrior at the gate - we stood bashing/nuking each other for about 4 minutes with neither of us dying :D We actually ended up with an audience - other players were just standing there watching us having a go at each other.

It was epic :D
 
I"M ALMOST THERE! 30/50 is in sight!

just need to finish levelling my phoenix and add! then finish the war in kryta stuffs!
 
Anyone know what it's like playing Dervish? I'm thinking of getting Nightfall and starting one so I can re-acclimate myself to the game.

Dervishes in a word - are awesome. My second primary is a Dervish ... and I spent a lot of time playing her.

Decent level of armour, fast attacks - with the right builds they do MAJOR damage, and soak up tons of damage too. They're spectacular against undead mobs (lots of holy damage).

When I last played her though, Dervish builds could be very fickle ... if you didn't get it right you got clobbered, mainly because you're in front.

Thanks for the response, Dervish sounds like it might be fun. I think I will be buying Nightfall from Steam right now.
 
Isengard, lemme know if you are gonna do it. i regret axing my dervish from way back when :(

and want to do one again aswell
 
So, Isengard last night you said you just started EOTN, I thought we can help you through it (I am busy completing books for the titles). But, if your going to start Nightfall now, let me know when you completed it, or when you want some help in EOTN. I will be busy for a while still with EOTN titles.

Sure man, I just figured that since I was so out of practice that my best bet would be to roll a new character and slowly relearn all the nuances of the game. I'm hoping that getting the Dervish to level 20 wont take too long.

I have Dervish main. Scythe thing is fun, especially holy attacks and reaping up to 650 damage from undead bosses in HM :love:, but when they come to high-end, they are underpowered. Wasn't able to find party for UW, being replaced by warrior as tank.
Dervish can go through all normal missions NM/HM. Talking from experience.

However, I heard that warriors and sins are better at scythe than dervish. Seen them very rarely.

True, BUT there are always drawbacks to using suck builds, Sin's probably going with a scythe + Interrupt skills to nerf 3 spell casters at once.
 
man i forgot how much fun Dervishes are...

man am i even more pissed now that i axed my twenty :(

Getting back up to 20 is quick-quick :D

I'm completely out of touch with my GW skillsets now - I was trying one of the War in Kryta missions last night - A little help from above - I got completely raped ... gave up after 2 hours. I'll give it a try this weekend again, but I think part of the trouble was my group make-up ... I need interrupts for all the healers on that quest ... and I didn't have any :(
