Guild Wars - General Discussion

I dunno ... I seem to hear about a lot of builds that still use it as a base though - my one mate was using it for raptor farming. That was 2 months or so ago though, so maybe they nerfed it in the meantime.

I'll be hopping around PvX after my exam on Wednesday to see if there are any builds on there I can experiment with. One thing I'm really upset about lately is that I didn't spend a lot of time unlocking skills ... some of the builds friends of mine send me I can never use because I don't have the skills.

it's stil being used but dammit man, it's not the same :(

it's now the main part of a Fissure speed farm clear...
 
Sadly I never knew 100B in its former glory, but the skill now isn't bad. 100B is the staple of the FoWSC as well as Raptor Farming (Main source of income over festival events).

Like Sins saying SF was ruined... Well a skill that turns into a GOD MODE button needs to be nerfed and SF is still very usable. I use a warrior and I can maintain SF permanently.

Other builds like the Dragonslash build is still epic to use, though it suffers in hex-heavy areas. Currently I switch between the enduring scythe build and my enduring dagger builds as they work great.

I also have a boat load of other builds for my warrior ranging from axe, sword, hammer and spear builds.

I also have some other W/N builds I use, I try to experiment with builds a lot as I have almost all the skills for every profession except 2 on my warrior. I still need loads of elites, but the one I use the most is Warriors Endurance for energy management to allow me to spam skills as much as possible.

I also have adrenaline-based builds, but they suffer in hex heavy areas, but I use them for taking down bosses mostly as they apply many conditions and quickly take care of those pesky bosses.
 
On a side note:

For those of you who haven't gotten your Black Moa Chick yet. I have collected the necessary materials that you place inside your incubator for 3 Black Moa Chicks.

It is one helluva scavenger hunt to get the items as you traverse all 3 campaigns to get them.

I am selling the Kits for 10K each, I have 3 in stock atm.
 
100B used to be a cone attack. Strike target foe and all foes adjacent to target twice.

5 energy use, instant activation 10 sec recharge.

combined with a vamp or zealous weapon you had a pretty potent self heal or energy generation going.

and when you add live vicariously and vigorous spirit in. well you do the math...

and yes, the skill description is from memory...

Whoa .. I was going to start with that next week - since I have the egg already ... but if you have the mats ... I'll buy one off you. On a side note: I'm trying to get my Phoenix up to level 20 so I can add it to my HoM. So you might see my ranger on from time to time: Rena Starchild.

About titles, I meant that titles are required for PvE skills, they are char wide.

ChameleonDevil, got Tyrian Grandmaster Cartographer (100%) even without exploring some area in Dunes of Despair. Make sure you start from scratch -- scrape map's edges, area by area, including all outposts, even pvp ones... Here are some tips. Try to combine with vanquishing for synergy.

Shadowfox, here is death levelling. Don't try this at your survivor char.

Death leveling your pet takes place inside the menagerie.

It works best with a 55 monk. Take a hero with flesh of my flesh on it. Put the hero somewhere to the side out of aggro range of pet.

For the hero i would recommend Gwen. Put max attributes into Fast Casting and the rest into restoration magic for Flesh of my flesh.

Get a vampiric weapon for your monk to use. Equip it.

Cast Charm animal on pet, then cancel it. The pet will now be hostile.

If the pet doesn't attack you don't worry, the vampiric weapon will work its magic soon.
As soon as you die the hero will rez you. You should have 33 HP total, the next time you die you start with 1HP.

Because of the vampiric weapon you will die immediately. Every time you die the pet gains experience. After about 30 mins or 2 standard anime episodes your pet is at lvl 20. Charm it. Take it to HoM or hand it in at the menagerie.

You can level every pet in the game like this EXCEPT for the Rainbow Phoenix. I suggest taking the Rainbow Phoenix to the UW with you and have it gain XP there, should take an hour and a half.

Well ... I finally completed that damned BLA mission ... got my first oppressor weapon ... I'm on 21/50 now.

Nice! currentluy at 14/50 want to aim for KoABD and a few EoTN titles, think I got to do 2 more bonus missions for prophecies and cap 40 more elite skills, to get those two titles to add to KoABD... :wtf:
 
i just need a OP weapon then i'm 30/50 :D

then i can put that stuff to rest and enjoy the new characters i created
 
Nearly got my Dervish to lv.17, should be able to start doing EotN soon :D. Will I first need ascended armor ala prophecies campaign or can I get kitted out in the EotN?

You can get basic max armor in Boreal Station (first place you will encounter when you start EOTN).
