Dragon Age 2 signature edition

This is the Collectors edition for DAO 2. SA is listed as a participating country so it should be available here. No SA stores listed yet though. Personally waiting to see whether steam will be added or not, should be considered they were for dao and me2. There is no real physical items except for the box itself so it that case I will rather go for the digital version. So hoping for a steam version.

For those interested Bioware has confirmed that BT games are the SA participating retailer. Chris Priestly said he will announce more retailers as deals are reached,ect. Not sure if SA will get more then one though.

Still waiting for a steam version but if there isn't one before 11 Jan I will order from BT.

can i be a bit daft here and ask what makes this so great over just getting the normal version and later on get the dlc ? i mean isn't collectors something that you want to collect that's really different/special to the normal edition.

afai-see this is normal with slapped on dlc, so what not call it 25% goty ? :D

* A download code for a bonus playable character and missions
* Downloadable game soundtrack
* Exclusive in-game digital armory featuring multiple weapons
* Additional downloadable items

Damnit, heathen. What more reason do you need? :mad:

lol ?

is it just me that remember decent ce ? or is it just that the cost is too much these days for them ? :confused:

i really don't get digital "ce" :o

No. An ideal collector's edition would be something containing:

  • 80+ page A4 Artbook
  • Making of DVD
  • Official Soundtrack
  • Random Gimmick (figurine, manga, game item, etc)

I consider this a pre-order incentive, not a collector's edition. Since I doubt there will be a collector's edition for Dragon Age 2, gimme my gawddamn pre-order bonuses!!! :mad:

since we dealing with dragon age :D, good news is when the ultimate edition for 1 (pc) comes out i can start playing da :)

Would be fantastic if BT allowed us to damn well order already :mad:

Well technicly you can already. Since according to Bioware everyone who preorders the normal dao version before 11 January are suppose to be upgraded to the signature edition for free.

They do have some issues with some UK retailers though who tried to pull a fast one by charging their customers more for the sig edition even though they were listed as participating in this deal. BW/EA are now having a nice chat with them according to Evil Chris at the bw forums.

Considering if you order before 11 January you are suppose to pay the same price and get the sig edition. So its really a no brainer.

According to Bioware this is the collectors edition for dao 2.

Seeing as there aren't any real physical items for this signature edition I am waiting for it to be added to steam. If it doesn't happen before 11 Jan I will go with BT but I would prefer a steam version, d2d already has it for the US so steam should get in on it.

Well, Dragon Age 2 isn't even listed on BT's site, so I can't pre-order :/

You sure...

Btw. For guys who want a digital copy, gamersgate has it up at their site, both uk and us version of the site. Impulse and d2d are restricting it on their's to only US customers. Still waiting for steam but if they don't add it before 11 Jan then gamersgate is good, used them before with no hassles.

This time around, I think that there is more value to be had out of waiting for Dragon Age 2 Ultimate Edition [assuming I am still alive by that time and the world has not been destroyed by a advanced race of sentient mangos.]

There is plenty to keep me busy while I wait.

The staff fixed will be available in the new year:

Hi Folks

Sorry for the delay in getting you an update (I was away for 2 weeks on some personal time off).

The good news is we do have a technical fix to get everyone the staff who correctly signed up during the summer conventions or during the other appropriate time but has not yet received it yet.

The bad news is that you'll have to wait for the update a while longer for us to prove this.

Due to the amount of webwork we are doing currently (what with DAII coming, ME2 PS3, other stuff I can't talk about, the Christmas break, etc) we won't have the fix implemented until next year.

I know this will leave some of you uncertain until you see the actual code appear on your profile, and I understand this, but I wanted to provide an update rather than leaving you all hanging. So there will be an update next year once the fix is in and working and when you should all see the code appear.
