- Don’t stress about losing. StarCraft II is a psychological game, and you can’t let losses knock your confidence. Instead of stressing about losing, learn from your mistakes. "No pain, no gain," said a panel member.
When me and 3 of my mates play we constantly lose and it stresses the heck out of us. It usually results in total raging over skype about who listened to who about whatever happenedthey get so bummed lol.
Problem is we keep losing on the bronze league and can't seem to figure out why. We know all the basic strats and builds and what to do and we have been practicing for quite some time now and still get owned so bad....like before we have even massed any decent sized tier 2 units the enemy Protoss dude already has a whole army of Colossus coming over the hills to annihilate and there is just sudden silence over skype, like we all going wtf,.... lol.
It got so bad yestarday that I could have sworn the opposition was cheating coz I looked at their build order and they by far had more Hydralisks owning us than what their combined build orders told me. So I saved the replay and gonna study it but wishful thinking, we probably just got owned horribly once more
Fair enough we do win some but the current ratio is like 0.3 to 1 and mostly because we are faced with complete noobs who can hardly get a secondary base going haha. We keep going back for more punishment though![]()
Dude, yesterday I played a 2v2 with a friend and we built quite fast, had scouts all over the place and we had quite a nice force, but then I scanned their base and the okes had like 300 carriers.... They attacked us with that only and raped us. Let's just say that was the last game we played for the day :/. I just can't seem to get the hang of this game in the slightest.
I decided it was time for an attitude change. Just play the game for fun, not to try and get points or wins. Just play and learn from my mistakes. Well, that isn't working out for me either because as I said, I just can't seem to figure out how I'm being raped so hard every time. Sometimes your mistakes are obvious, like expanding too early or not countering properly, but most of the time. for me, it's just like "WTF! How?!". Kinda getting over how much I suck at this game.

+1
This is such a fun game, be open to new ideas and new strats. Remember that team games can be harder to master because they can attack your weak points with several armies. Communicate properly with team mates.. don't all build the same unit. Learn which units counter which.
Do the challenge missions as well.. I couldn't get the gold on "opening gambit" and I became so obsessed about figuring it out that my macro improved hugely. Watch replays and tutorials, there are plenty of people like Husky and Day 9 who give great tips about game play.
I played a 3v3 last night where my team mates were getting owned and 3 times I had to come to their rescue, after which I thought they were probably going to bring bigger armies the next time round and crush us.. but it turned out my macro was a lot better and I was able to re-inforce a lot quicker than them. What an epic game. Several times I thought of quitting but I stuck in there and had this amazing feeling of achievement at the end.

If I recall correctly, I own the "I suck at SC2 crown" as you handed my @ss to me a number of times.
I may be to old by then![]()
I think that i played you in that game last night. I will watch the replay tonight. haha. i was the one with the void rays.
Easier said than done! Being owned 5 times in a row is quite dishearting.. It always feels like "Omg, all that effort just to be owned because of one mistake.."
Seems like you gotta have balls of steel to play this game.
