Dude the biggest adjustment for me coming back from the UK was the utterly KAK selection our "Large" Music & Dvd retailers stock.

Omega I know what you mean, I miss that and I really miss Play.com as well as the dvd rental we had via internet/post. Was brilliant.

And today I seriously hate our plotter and all pcs that has to print thru it!

Ah HMV  I remember going from Calaise to Dover and winning 200 pounds on the ferry and spending it ALL at HMV a week later in London :p

Sounds like me, Got paid 200 quid a week and most of it vanished into a HMV cash register.

Checked the price of Blu-Rays (latest releases) 16gbp:eek: Thats the same as we pay for regular old DVDs here.

Yeah dude, everything is new tech here it seems so it's all charged accordingly. Like the South African Discovery of the Decade: uncapped internet :wtf:

I miss Play.com, really miss it, their 10pound specials on 3 dvd's and free deliver the next day. Lovefilms as well, order a bunch of movies online, they post 3 to you, you watch it and put it back in the post the next day and a day later you get the next lot. I also miss the public transport. I really miss that. Hopping on a bus or the tube to get where you wanted was such a breeze. Only times I missed having a car was when I worked in the Lake District, almost got myself a car whilst i was there for 150 pounds. In the end I decided the tax and insurance wasnt worth it :P Rather wait the 10 or 15 mins for the bus.

Entry Level internet in UK.... 50mb/s uncapped, unshapped bundled with Satalite TV.... Sky+ FTW all of which goes for something like 20-50GBP/m:eek:

God do I miss their public transport. While living in London i use to take the train into the city center on saturdays and just go out seeing sites, travel card and just go everywhere. Bus ride to work is also way more relaxing that actually sitting in traffic. And the tubes.... I use to love just riding around on them

Dude - stop.
Yeah it's pathetic hey. Top prices (R9000 pm from Openweb) for shit service and speed. Funny how all these companies announce these prices as if they're something to be proud of.

Alot of people have this illusion that its perfect there... it isn't but compare their violent crime statistics to ours and I choose them...

SA makes most countries look like fairytale kingdoms when it comes to crime, but yeah UK is far from perfect. I would rather go live in Europe if I had a way at any rate.
