NFS Hot Pursuit demo now available on XBLA and PSN

Wow. It seems like another NFS game has bit the dust. Maybe they should just leave this franchise to let it die in peace. The whole idea about this game was that it was supposed to go "back to its roots" - so how does it compare to NFS games of old?

I think I'll try the demo for myself before I start ignoring this game. I've found most gamers these days have become so picky about games that there's basically NO game good enough for them anymore.

It reminded me a bit of Most Wanted but with no sign of the cheesy story. Better damage modeling but same NFS arcade handling. If it had a bit more of a feel then yes, but I enjoyed it and as im not a huge Racing game fan that was enough for me.
 
Quickly played the cop race now over lunch. It's been a long time since I've played a racing game, and first time on the Xbox, but I enjoyed that little bit. Not sure if it's just me, the 370Z felt a bit unresponsive.
I might just get it for the opportunity to drive a Veyron :D
 
I really did not enjoy the demo, the handling is just terrible, seems as though there is a very noticeable delay from controller to the car. Lets hope the final game is heaps better, as of now I wont be picking this one up.

I agree, I won't be getting this on release - my backlog of games needs some serious attention otherwise it's just been money thrown into the water. By the time I'm done with all my backlogged games I'll be able to pick up this game for half the price - so it's a win-win situation :)
 
Also checked it out over the weekend...from the developers of Burnout(!!!!) it seems like they are dropping the ball on this one. Will pass.
