Fallout: New Vegas official discussion thread

Ive played too many games where the bad guyz are baby eating bad and the good guys are inpersonating mother teresa. I am looking for grey areas. Like the Kill the boy or let the mother kill herself choice in Dragon Age. A choice which isn't good or bad.
The legion are made out from the start to be baby eating evil, I mean head to that town between Primm and Novac and see what they did there, thats the definition of evil. Similarly the NCR are set up as the heroic defenders who try and restore democracy to the wasteland. Their soldiers fight for whats right even with their numbers spread paper thin. I just think the two factions could have been set up alot more abigious. Like Vualt City in Fallout 2. From outside they look to have everything and get to call the shots but once you peel away the whipcream coating is a vile cockroach nest.

I'll wait and see before making my final judgement.

Oh and If the player turns out to be Mr New Vegas I am putting the game in the microwave.

hahaha you have to finish the game first I will not spoil the ending, or should I say endings.

Level 23 and haven't gone into the Vegas Strip yet, side missions are awesome.

Anyway, have a 'steal' mission but cant find anywhere that sells Stealth Boys. Anyone know where I can get some?

If you do the mission where you help the Ghouls launch there missiles, somewhere close to Novac, you will find plenty. In that facility there are quite a lot of them.

I need help getting too the boomers,I keep getting my legs blown off :<

Following mostly the mainplot for my initial play through, got to freeside yesterday. Have E-DE as companion but from now on its all points to guns, sneak and speech.

hmm would someone try stealth sneaky sneaky and tell me if it will work? I am not a person to use stealth in this game. Some places I do use it but then I got my stealth boy's still got 9 in my inventory.

This is how I did it v
{Spoiler}I went on the left side close to the walls and well they never hit me. Also I let my companions stay at the tip guy so they would not die{spoiler}

i used GOD mode :p

TGM?

LOL, I remember that from Oblivion and Fallout 3 on PC. :p

EDIT: Does anyone know how to heal your companion's limb damage? Veronica is limping around behind me the whole time, but I can't do anything about it since her health is already full.

Yeah I saw they seem to do that for some reason also sometimes they run away and not attack. Have you tried telling to go back and swap them out with someone else an then sleeping saving and then try again.

That armor shown on the box art and in the intro video, can you actually find that ingame?

The armor on the box is one of the faction armors so yes you can get it but by killing the member of the faction that is wearing it.

This?

Which faction?

I had that armour in my first playthrough. It's cool and everything but the fact that it's faction armour makes it suck because their enemies attack you if you wear it.

Finished the game. Level 30, completed most of the side missions. Had a few mission bugs meaning some I couldn't finish. Took the neutral ending.

What a game. Definitely getting Fallout 3 now, cant believe I've never played it.
