The Witcher 2 Digital Premium Edition Price on GOG Dropped for UK Customers
We do our best to provide you with the lowest possible prices here at GOG, and we're happy to announce that we're able to make another great deal here. With The Witcher 2 Digital Premium Edition we introduced the 'Fair Price Package' to compensate for the price difference for customers who pay in Euros and British pounds sterling vs. those who pay in USD. Today we're happy to announce a new, lower price of The Witcher 2 for all UK customers: your copy of TW2 on GOG will only be £29.99. Take advantage of our cool pre-order offer, though, and UK customers will pay only £26.99! If you already pre-ordered the game, the price reduction includes your pre-order as well. This also means the store credit will be given only to customers who buy The Witcher 2 on GOG in Euros, as the price in GBP is now a "fair price" without store credit.

Happy gaming, UK Goggers, and be sure to spread the word to your fellow inhabitants of the Isles.

New:
Star Control 1+2
If you like Science Fiction, look no further. You can't possibly go wrong with these two addictive Sci-Fi games, each with a cult following of its own.

First, there was Star Control, a turn-based strategy game with an addictive real-time arcade combat mode called Mêlée. This was essentially a relatively close-quarters duel between two spaceships. The most impressive thing about this mode, and the game in general, was that, somehow, the game's creators managed to make the dozen or so race-specific ship types completely different from each other, yet at the same time balanced.

Star Control 2 added even more races and ships to the fray, while retaining balance in the Mêlée mode, but changed the underlying gameplay considerably. The sequel was turned into more of a space-faring adventure game, with quests, diplomacy and character progression in the form of ship upgrades. The gameplay is as addictive as ever and the storyline is both good and believable, with tons of memorable characters, races and humor that will make you go back to this game again and again.

The Witcher coming soon! Pre-download the sequel before release!
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut, the highly acclaimed RPG by CD Projekt RED, will come to GOG’s storefront with tons of exclusive free goodies on May 10th for a regular price of $9.99--but we're offering a special discount in commemoration of The Witcher 2 coming to GOG.com. The game will be available at a 50% discount from May 10 until May 24, and will cost only $4.99!

The Witcher is an action RPG based on books by popular Polish fantasy author Andrzej Sapkowski. The player takes the role of Geralt of Rivia, the witcher (a professional monster slayer). GOG's version of the game is the most complete and comes with loads of free goodies including: game guide, soundtrack, music inspired by the game, The Witcher story, The Witcher "sexy" calendar, artbook and more!

Speaking of The Witcher franchise, starting from 10th of May all GOG.com users who want to buy the highly anticipated sequel to Geralt’s adventures, will have the opportunity to pre-purchase the game and pre-download almost all of it, so on May 17 when the game is released, they can play it almost instantly! Thanks to the brand new GOG.com downloader the pre-download will go fast and easy.

Pro Tip: The Witcher 2 preorder offer on GOG.com ends on the 16th of May at 5:59 p.m. EDT, so anyone who wants to take advantage of the incredible preorder offer should make a point to visit the pre-order page before then and snag their copy of the game. Also note that if you’ve preordered The Witcher 2 from GOG.com, you will have until the end of May to purchase the game and receive all of the preorder goodies, so don’t forget!

Alone in the Dark
It's here! An absolute legend, the grandfather of all survival horrors, and based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft - Alone in the Dark - bundled together with the rest of the original trilogy!

Alone in the Dark is a survival horror game released back in 1992, and one of the first games to use 3D models over prerendered backgrounds. This may not sound too fancy now, but when you see the vivid facial expressions on characters using almost two decades-old technology, you'll see that this game is simply a work of art. But there's a lot more to it than that.
Overall, the game's presentation is simply amazing, and this goes for the entire trilogy as well. Each gripping story comes accompanied by top-notch voice acting, fantastic mood-setting music and an immersive cinematic atmosphere. After playing this release, you'll wish all games were this well-designed.
And, finally, the horror part presents the perfect mix of bone-chilling suspense and sudden, heart-pounding terror.
So that's three legendary games for a mere $5.99. What are you waiting for? Are you scared or something?

The story shows Lester, a young physicist, who suddenly finds himself in an alternate world after lightning struck during his experiment. Players role is to find a way to get Lester back to "our" world. The 15th Anniversary Edition, which is sold on GOG.com, introduced a remastered edition of the original (both versions are included) and some cool materials that showed how the game was made. With a 60% discount this is an offer you just can't miss.

So grab Another World 15th Anniversary Edition today for only $3.99! The promo ends tomorrow, April 21 at 5:59 a.m. EDT (10:59 a.m. GMT).

NWN2 had so much potential, but whoever was in charge of camera-view design should be dragged outside and shot. Worst viewing angles EVER.

Is there a widescreen mod for this game?

yes, but running it in 1920x1080 seems tiny so i'm running icewind dale 1 at 1280x720 rather. i used this one (though i'm sure there are maybe better ones or other choices out there)

i have like 3 legit copies of nwn2 (2x of gpu and 1x collectors).... and it every time made me :(. for the wide screen mod i would suggest bit more investigating work as what i did- first hit install and play (though could hardly blame me as i really really wanted to get into iw1 noa and not later :D)

Lol. I am still busy with planescape and must it is one of the best rpg games I have ever played. The story is so engaging and love the characters.

It took me forever to mod it.

As a side note... has anyone played NWN recently? I have Win7 Ultimate and NWN will not run longer than -+20 minutes until it crashes. I tried searching for fix but to no avail. I'm asking because I boguht the complete edition (Gold I think) a few months back to play through the game co-op with a mate but no luck. Which reminds me... anyone want to play through the campaign with CEP addons? :D

Is it that good? I would love to get my hands on it but planescape needs allot of attention:p

How is the story and gameplay?
