Guild Wars 2

Here's a question - I don't know if they've covered it yet.

Guilds/Alliances - are they going to be using the same system as they did in GW, or is that getting overhauled as well?

What they are planning is that Guilds will be quickly accessible from start of game, and all races will be able to join same guild (except of course racism "the anti-Asura campaign" type Guilds xD), then also different characters you use can join different Guilds if you want to split them. And I think if I remember correctly, the planned apps that they are developing for smart phones / web, you will be able to do guild chat / and also keep track what your guild is doing real time on world map.

Im not sure about Alliances .

OMFG :O I can now have diff chars in diff guilds :D? YES!! Always wanted to join some friends' guild but could never quite do that since I loved the community of my alliance and I've been with them for quite some time

Great, especially part tracking guild in real time. Now guild/ally chat no longer will be flooded with "what you up to?" or "Guys, what are you doing?" or "Where are you?!" :D

But don't like multi-guild part: no longer guild/ally messages "Alright, let me get other char and try it together." :)

I'm guessing they'll keep enforcing some sort of limit - probably 100 as they did previously. I'm in favour of that - it keeps guilds from becoming uncontrollably large.

I both agree/disagree with Jagtiger's second statement though - yeah, it was nice to have all your characters belonging to the main guild - but at the same time, nothing stops you from adding all your chars to one guild (although some guilds may frown on that).

Having said that - GW's original system made it really easy to track which character was which, and I never needed to relog to sort thing out on a guild level - since all my characters were effectively the leader. Bothered me a bit in the beginning - but after my experiences in Aion (where I need to log to my main or my secondary to invite new members for instance), I'm more in favour of the old system as employed by GW.

Mind you, maybe ANet will come up with a system that works even better :)

that's the one reason i loved GW. no need for add ons because the interface was complete!

Q: Will there be completely customizable interface; including colours, themes, sounds and possibility to add your own also.

@Tank - In the beginning everything will be for everyone to play - LATER HOWEVER! ELITIST CUNTS WILL TELL PEOPLE THAT THEY NEED TO PISS OFF BECAUSE THEY GET TO SAY WHO ARE ALLOWED TO ENJOY THE GAME...

@Jagtiger - Not sure about interace - In demo's everything looked the same, but I do think the layout might be changed as in GW, as for colours & sounds I doubt it, but will ask.

@Jagtiger + Tank - I really hope there aren't any addons! WOW actually has addons that check if you have the correct addons! How ridiculous is that? As for mods, only use them if your anti-virus says it's not a virus or a trojan or worm... Even then be careful, it might be a key logger. I say no to both mods & addons - less chances of exploits and hacking.

@ Interface, that's better already.
Would like to add my own sounds: for example, whenever mission/quest is accomplished, instead of generic "gjzieng" sound put ol' good "mission accomplished" or "First objective met". :D

With the interface customisation, I think its entirely possible to change like in GW. But, I will be happy with the default UI if its clean logical and easily usable.

That is going to happen Im afraid, regardless of how Arenanet planned to remove dedicated healers / tanks / DPS and made every profession more of a combination of support to everyone. There will become a time where a certain combo of classes + build / traits (very possible that RACIAL skills will also be wanted while others will be frowned upon) own the dungeon; that will become the meta of the game, and the BRAINWASHED ONLY way to complete BECAUSE it is 5 minutes faster to complete this way!!!!!, even if it IS 100% POSSIBLE for every single class to participate in a group as support/damage..... However, if this happens, I am either going to rage quit again, or make sure my way is also the meta way ....muhahahaha.

Ag ffs lets not think about that shit for now... :'(

But, yeah this we will probably see sometime in the life of GW2!
Code:
"GLF 400,000 HP Warrior with Arcane Blast (random blindness skill :P) / 2000% Crit Warrior for Epic Armor SC" ....

I wanted to add info about the competition for "Design a skill" contest that is currently running, but we are as usual not part of normal earth.....

But, I have read some of the awesome submissions that have been made, I especially like the idea of Lightning Vehemence.

Well atm I'm still busy with the website. The domain has been registered, www.guildwars2.za.net.

I'm on free hosting atm - bad idea - it sucks donkey balls!!! I will be moving it to our web design companies servers as soon as za.net decides to process the transfer form, should take a week -.-

Hopefully the site will be done in 2 weeks - yes 2 weeks I work on this alone, I don't have a development team for this so it takes time...

But it looks good!
