AC:B review!!

Rather dissapointed with that IGN score. Didn't AC2 get 9.5 or something?

Well remember AC:BH is more AC2.5 than AC3. I uses the same mechanics and is a continuation of the same plot. It was always going to score less than AC2 because of that. But since it resembles AC2 so closely it will still be awesome coz AC2 was awesome. Plus the new mechanics will only add to the experience. Also there is the multiplayer which is something completely new.

True the similarity is it's downfall, but by default that makes it totally worth it.
But 8? Only 8? :p

Fallout 3 got various 9s and 9.5s yet Fallout Vegas got mostly 8 - 8.5. Other than the bugs its similarity to Fallout 3 was what brought it down. You cant give it a much higher score since there is little innovation, had it gone a different time period it might have scored higher.

I say try it for your self, chances are it could feel like a 8.5 or even a 9 depending on the player. Remember all reviews are opinions.

Dude I'm grabbing it as soon as it hits the shelf. Another 20 hours with Ezio (and MP) is win:win.

Achingly beautiful to behold and incredible to play, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood will be the best Roman holiday you'll ever have.

Its new gameplay elements and other additions like the multiplayer modes makes this one the most complete Assassin's Creed thus far. Brotherhood is an amazing follow-up to the sequel and an amazing way to conclude Ezio Auditore's adventures.

A masterful combination of the many things that have striven to define the series in the past, each presented at its best and accentuated by considered design.

Metascore of 90 :)

It's a continuation of the second game?

Meh, I'd had enough mindless repetition long before the end of the second one.

Yep me and him had a long "chat" about it after my AC2 review.

I still stand by what I said with AC2, and there are plenty of similar opinions scattered around the web, but don't get me wrong: the game wasn't abysmal, it just needed work in a number of areas.

I'll give Brotherhood a go to see if they've fixed my gripes (I've already heard that the combat is now actually functional instead of being all 'block then counter') but I'm not holding my breath after the slightly different gameplay between 1 & 2.
