Yes a few places I use to go to takes no cash.
But than I know of a lot more places that don't really want to take eft or credit/debit cards.

Yeah thats what I thoughts, epsecially since the German consulate ONLY takes cash. Luckily my mom was there so i gave her the cash and she gave me her card
But so much less orginised than the German one, propably coz its all south africans
working there. If you get my meaning.:wtf: Shops and the like i can understand but foreign goverment institutions.....

Not to mention Im broke.
We've been talking about getting a digital camcorder which would be gr8 for the coming holiday abroad, looking at the Sanyo Xacti since it falls in with our budget. My parents have chipped in as will my grandmother but her mother and sister are being cows and insist on getting her something 'She can use'
It pisses me off when people insist on getting something THEY think a person wants instead of just contributing when you say you want something thats a little costly.

Whats your budget? Are you looking for a tape or HDD cam corder? I have a sony HDD and it is awesome.

Our budget is pretty low, No more than R2500. Which greatly reduces out choices. Ive been looking at mostly ones with SDHC slots, my dad has one with a HDD and i know thats awesome. How much did yours set you back?

Yeah SDHC slots are also not to bad at all. I paid R3999 for mine.

Ouch, thats a bit steep for me. Sony stuff is awesome though but its not like we are going to use the thing all that often, unlike you guyz who want to get a much video of the little one as possible. If we where expecting I would also say lets get something a bit more hi-tech but right now I dont need anything like that.
There is a HP one that a little cheaper but its a hassle finding reviews on it which tells me its not a popular item. The sanyo one has many review most are possitive though siting the cons which are mostly due to it being a low-cost model. So yeah.

Yeah, we obviously use it a lot for the little munchkin. Check out that sony I posted, for R2599 its decent.
