Is it worth it?

Hi Guys,

So I've looked at my finances and it turns out that I can get myself a Xbox 360 slim with Fable III and I was wondering if its worht it? I will be using it only for exclusives and games that perform better on the 360 (Like Mafia II). So should I do it? Or is it not worth it?
And if I should then what games are a must?

O hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

I looooooove my xbox. Prefer it to my PS3.

The exclusives are good enough reason to buy it. Fable, Halo, gears of war.

Do it you won't be sorry :)
 
If the Xbox exclusives appeal to you, and you've got the cash to blow, then why not? I'm a total Gears of War fangirl, so obviously I'd recommend those.
 
Like everyone else said, only get it if the X360 exclusives appeal to you. I don't really care much for Halo or Fable, but Gears of War is not too bad and the third one looks impressive. However, I'm not a big enough fan of the series to buy another X360 just to play it so I'll make a plan to play Gears of War 3 on a friend's X360.

LOL, nah man I ain't no fanboi. I used to have an X360 before I had a PS3, but I wasn't really all that impressed with the exclusives and after it scratched some of my games I decided to sell it. I went back to PC gaming after that, but then I saw Uncharted 2 and I had to get a PS3. I just enjoy PS3 exclusives more than I enjoy X360 exclusives, e.g.: Killzone > Halo, Uncharted > Gears of War and Demon's Souls > Fable.
 
Yeah I'd say its definately worth it. Not sure if you own any other consoles. I'm a die hard PC gamer, but nothing beats sitting on the couch jamming away on a console. Its really a jol to play games against each other or even with each other on a console.

With the others I can agree but that..... I am sorry, I can not abide that.
 
LOL, I knew you would say that :p I played all the Halo games (except Halo Wars) and I could never see what all the fuss was about. I didn't even bother finishing Reach, completely lost interest about halfway through. Just wait till next February when you can play Killzone 3, then you'll come around. :p

heres my opinion

I had 2 xboxs and 2 PS3's so far I bought xbox 1 for gears 1 and I bought xbox 2 for gears 2 hopefully next year im going for the hat trick.

For me personally I dont have the time to own both having a family also consumes time, I ended up with owning the Ps3 by choice but DAM i must get xbox 3 for gears 3

IF you have time for it then go for it.......its not about the money its about the time

If memory servers similar predictions where all the rage before the release of both KZ1 & 2.... Ill wait and see, not holding my breath though :p
 
I'll give you that one, but personally, I loved everything about Killzone 2. The story might noth have been the best around, but the visuals were amazing and I loved the heavy feel of the character (I know most people hated this). I have owned four different copies of Killzone 2 (still have the fourth); I traded it in 3 times, each time buying it again after starting to miss the MP. They have "fixed" the controls for Killzone 3 and the game will have larger and more varied environments. The melee combat also looks really good and from what I have seen from the beta footage the mulitplayer looks very impressive, especially the mechs.

The reason I want an Xbox is because I absolutely LOVE Halo (I always play it at a friends house) and I really like the sound of Fable III. I must say that I am a Playstation fanboy but I am getting tired of some of the awesome games being underdeveloped on the PS3 compared to the Xbox like; Mafia II, Fallout...
Although I will admit that I find the PS3 has the better range of exclusives.
Time isn't so much of an issue for me I usually get to graft about 2hrs a day so yeah. I strategy games on my PC, the lego games (Don't judge me :p) on my Wii and everything else on my PS3. The few games I like on the 360 are; Fable III, Mafia II, Halo (The whole series), Forza, Gears of War...

So I must say that in light of that I am really considering this. I just need be nudged a bit...
 
Best of both worlds is best. The only problem I have is when you own both consoles and a PC, you battle to try and find time for all of them. Right now Black Ops on my PC is keeping me busy, after that it'll be AC: Brotherhood on the Xbox and finally back to Uncharted1 on the PS3 (need to finish crushing difficulty).

Can't wait for my Dec break between Xmas and new years. :)

I have a similar dilemma. Been neglecting the PS3 of late since It was Reach then Fallout then Kinect now AC. But I love my PS3 for its exclusives and the wife uses it regularly as a dvd player :p
 
Come now chaps, I am a dad and I make time for all my platforms :p :D

seriously though, I am lucky I have both PS3 and Xbox, if you can afford both they both are epic, I honestly can't say one is better than the other.
