Gamers step into a third-person sci-fi survival horror experience that promises to deliver the ultimate in psychological thrills and gruesome action. Set in the cold blackness of deep space, the atmosphere is soaked with a feeling of tension, dread and sheer terror. In Dead Space, players step into the role of engineer Isaac Clarke – an ordinary man on a seemingly routine mission to fix the communications systems aboard a deep space mining ship. It is not long before Isaac awakes to a living nightmare when he learns that the ship's crew has been ravaged by a vicious alien infestation. He must fight through the dead silence and darkness of deep space to stay alive.

- Personally It took me a while to get used to the third person view of the game and the way it handles fights etc, But now I am hooked and I find it a really enjoyable game.
 
The game still scares the living crap outta me, so I am not very far into it hahaha!

But awesome game none the less, once you get used to the controls and the view perspective. TO me really one of the must buys out there at the moment!
 
I totally agree with you guys..I absolutly love this title!!
I personally think that Dead space and Gears of war 2 were the best titles for 2008.
 
I thoroughly enjoyed Gears 1, but as GOW2 is not bound for PC I highly doubt that I will have any significant time on it :mad:
 
The original Gears of war was never meant to come to pc..but then microsoft realised they could relaunch the game on pc and make just as much money as they did with the X360 version!!
I bought Gears of war 2 for the x360 and Im planning on buying it for the pc if it becomes available...wich it will!!
 
This game is seriously one of my best games of 2008!
I wanted to get the DVD but from the reviews its not too good. Forgot its name now but the movie is set before the game.

MS said they won't be porting GOW2 to PC due to piracy, so it wont, unfortunately, be coming to PC.... :(
 
yeah look I allways knew GOW1 was comming to PC, Epic never really DENIED it. but it has been confirmed even by CliffyB, that GOW2 wont see PC.
 
I K@Ked myself in dead space those damn creatures were like sneaky little b@st@rds jumping out of thin air and out of those vents.... did anyone watch the movie?????

Yeh I must say the movie I really enjoyed and it put alot in perspective for me especially when playing the game I got to understand who what when where and how and took it from there :D
 
the game is hardly scary clocked its 10 hours of fun that all i enjoyed it i prever cod5 nazi zomgies!!! ;)
 
I'm on Chapter 5 right now.
I'm not finding it that scary just had a few shocks here and there.
All in all it's a great game :D
 
Its a master piece!! Yeah the port to the pc wasn't to great but the overall gaming experience was awsome...I loved the way I couldn't stop playing it and when I clocked it I decided to start a new game immediately!! I can rave on about it till the end of time!!

The scary factor goes up by about 70% if you play this title in a dark room with only the screen as a source of light..really good brown short moments in this game!!
 
This game is awesome, I'm only on chapter 2 now but the atmosphere is brilliant. The game absolutely nails the sense of being in deep space and the HUD integration into the suite and weapons is genius. Advice to people playing on PC, turn off vsync in the game and rather force it in the drivers otherwise you get mouse lag.
