Battlefield 3 technical details teased

Ah, they didn't mention the biggest technical spec....... utterly crappy hit detection.......

Maybe they'll "tease" that to everyone on launch day like they've done since BF2. :rolleyes:

I only finished BFBC2 last night....and...this must be one of the (if not THE) best fps franchise out there IMO. I will definitely be replaying!!! Kicks the !@#$ out of COD imo.

So, looking forward to 3....

I really like the BF franchise. Hell, BF:1942 and BF:Vietnam were the first games I played online back in 2004. I drove each weekend to a friend of mine who had ADSL and we jammed it from Friday night till Sunday morning along with 3 other friends (you could actually have 4 or 5 guys playing BF:1942 at the same time if you had a 512Kb line).

1942 and Vietnam were great games, hit detection was great with very few bugs to speak of...... then Dice was bought by EA and it went all downhill from there.

I'm going to give this latest Vietnam expansion a skip and see what happens with BF3.

Don't know if BF3 will have a SP campaign. Only the Bad Company games in the franchise had them.

Dude, BFBC2 Vietnam is going to cost you a hundred bucks.. Hell dude, I'm gunna go buy it with cash, that's how dirt cheap it is. It's going to be worth every buck as well.

BF3 definitely won't have a single-player game. Toxin is right, only the BC games had it.

Nah, I only have 10 hours gametime in BC2. I drew the line one day when I was trying to kill guys at a distance aiming down the iron sights. Emptied clip after clip and just couldn't kill anyone. Switched to randomly firing at guys from the hip and was raking in the kills.

Will wait till BF3 is released, has it's hit detection sorted out 8 months later and then try it out............

Sorry, I meant to Say Toxin instead of Tank :D

I don't know how that works dude. A very small percentage of my kills are from hip-fire. I kill okes long range the whole time. Maybe you are aiming at their feet :p:D I must say dude, the hit-detection in Bad Company 2 was never ever a problem for me. It's been fine since the first day I played. If you want to see what an epic failure in hit detection looks like, go play some CSS. Now that game's online hit-detection is the worst I've ever seen.

Even Black Ops has some weird days. Like last night I was shooting at a guy and he didn't take 1 hit from my whole clip, and I was firing single shots.

Anyhow, that's your choice- each to his own and all that. The Battlefield games are definitely my favourite and BC2 really wasn't a disappointment for me. Had some great fun and it was worth every cent. If it's anything to go by, I think BF3 is going to be the best game that ever happens to me :D Just cannot wait for jets and large, 64 player open battlefields!
