F****S broke into my house!

I am so flipping mad. Bastids broke into my house 2 hours ago, scaled my new LCD, Xbox, PS3 and some.

Anyone know what the deal is with loosing a Xbox / PS3 profile? I know my saved games are tickets, but could I get my game score back?

Anyway I could block the PS3 or Xbox?

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezuz I am so cross! I could spit bullets right now!

At least I am insured.

Sheesh that sucks a lot Grimspoon. :( It's making me paranoid. I'm glad that no one was at home and that everyone's safe.

anyhows, earthly stuff. you and your family are still safe, that's the truly important bit.

as for xbox GS, you still have it. jsut your savegames and downloaded content are teh fooked.

You can recover your profile - you need your windows live ID and password that you used to sign up for xbox live. From there its as easy as going to your dashboard home screen, then "recover profile" enter details.

Lets hope the server synced with your account fairly recently.

Sorry to hear about your loss, this is unfortunately the time of year where affirmative shopping is at its worst.

Yeah got my live login details and it synced last night.

My question is, if the zot that stole my xbox plugs it in and connected to the net, surely he will automatically sign in with my profile? I guess I need to sign in and then change my password? Would that stop them from being able to login with my details?

You can change you password and they should not be able to access your account (My friend has a brake in last year and did this and he hasn't had problems). You could also phone M$ and get some support from them, here are their contact details: http://support.xbox.com/en-za/pages/call-us.aspx

My friend phoned them and directed him to do what he did. Give it a bash. The same should work for the PS3 just you have to phone SterKinekor (Or mabye Sony).

Go to http://www.xbox.com/en-US/ - login there first and try change the password from the web. The sooner the better.

EDIT : I logged in quickly - do the above, once you logged in go to "myxbox" -> "accounts" -> Account Information -> "change password"

That should do the trick.

Thats all good and dandy (Now I don't quite know how the 360 works) but on the PS3 if you set your account to log in automatically then you're stuffed and need to phone support. Mabye he should just phone support just in case of things going south.

Definitely, try phoning support first. They've had this happen before surely and know the best way of getting it fixed. If you cant get through to anyone then at least there is a plan B :)
 
Thanks for the feedback chaps, I have in the mean time changed my password.

I can only hope that when the monkey plugs the xbox in it will see that there has been a password change and not let them log in.

Funny thing is, they didn't take the power brick or the controller.

The ps3 however they took the controllers. :rolleyes:
