New Black Ops PC patch announced

En met jou pc specs en 4mb line, verstaan ek dit glad nie, behalwe as jy not telkom/saix gebruik. :p

Telkom SGS sal nie FPS drops gee nie, sal net rerig high ping en super lag gee. Maar nee my ping is 20-50 en ek is net op IS accounts.

Ag, ek gebruik maar geduld

Yeah it's weird (read: stupid) - I mean wasn't that a very obvious place to start fixing?
if they started with the minimum specs first then the recommended specs for the game would have been sorted without any issues :)

well I hope it fixes things I have also been struggling but I have found that some servers I connect to give me lag and some not

So, Call of Duty is the First Person Shooter series, that most average gamers enjoy. But, IMO, Treyarch tried to develop a game than mainly Hardcore gaming PC's will be able to run fluently. That is what went wrong. They game requires way too much resources than should be required.

Ok so played single player for about the first time in a month, only played it once the day i got the game and as you all know it sucked game was totally unplayable! But, updated it today and decided to give it a try... And wow worked perfectly and i have to say omg what a game now that it's fixed i really enjoy it. Hope it works on all your pc's as well. Must admit not the best release of the cod franchise purely because of the issues, but it looks like it's getting sorted. So well done treyarch

i don't get it. i have had problem free gaming from when i got it.
running a q9400 and a 384 line and sometimes it stutters but most of the time its OK.

i wonder why only some people experience crap................

I still get Connection Interrupted issues every now and then but other than that I'm running well.

if i read what the new patch (whenever it's coming out) fixes, then i kinda doubt that it will help me play the game...

...so maybe i should look at getting win7, or alternatively get a copy of the game from a questionable outlet.

btw: i think i have updated all the drivers on my pc, but just to be sure, is there software that i can download that will scan my pc and check if all drivers are up to date (and maybe help with getting the newest drivers)

I gave up on Black Ops, admittedly I hadn't played for long, but the FPS issues and general lag was starting to become a thorn in ones side. I will try again tonight, but generally has it improved anything?

I don't know if it's just me, but I seem to be getting some form of mouse lag which I don't have when playing MW2. Anyway else had this?

same with me, even with MouseAccel set to 0 in the config. Google around lot's of ppl noticed this, so it's not just you :p

I'm using AMD Phenom II x4 Quad Core 9650 in an Nvidia GeForce GT240 and it's working fine with me. Though sometimes I feel the lag and fps issues. Maybe it's because my RAM is just 4GB.

so i got the game working over the w'end....i could play online but it would crash every now and again, but the single player didn't work, so i googled a bit, and combinded 2 "possible" solutions that i found.

first i uninstalled and reinstalled directx (k, i used the directx from mw2 and not from black ops, just incase), and then i downloaded the new gfx drivers again from nvidia and now "touch wood" all seems to be working single player and online - although i haven't played more than an hour on each since the fix
