What is your favourite web browser and why?

one thing that's horrendous about IE is that ms just can't keep to fucking standards.
ie 7 does it this way, but no ie 8 has to do it that way... makes life a bitch when you
have to dev for it...

Fair enough, if you say its better, I have not used neither of them myself, but it is a small part of the browser demographic, nothing short of a brainwashing would make me choose IE willingly tho

I use Chrome. Love the look and feel of it, also very fast, well put together, stable.

Its called Boomarks, thats what every browser has called it, but no, IE has to be like the "special kid"

Chrome & Safari are the only browsers you should be using. Why, you ask?
Standards

I am a web developer and like any type of programming there are standards set for how things should work. Chrome & Safari are the only 100% standard compliant browser. Even firefox is not standards compliant, and Internet Explorer is an absolute joke (even IE9 which isn't even out yet is not fully standard compliant for HTML5)

Hmmm I'm giving Opera a proper go now and it's actually very impressive. Going to use it for the next week and see whether I'll go back to Chrome.

WTf would I need a directory? got a backup plugin that backs up all my FF settings and bookmarks (used to do passwords as well) where ever I want them.

Firefox FTW! - Love the look and the ability to customize it easily. Themes/persona's and plug-ins/add-ons make it an exceptional browser. Can sometimes be a little laggy at times, but I would choose this with the add-ons over IE8.

What do you do for a living?

Data Security. Part of the job is to create incredibly complex webpages (500mb or more of pure HTML code). And guess what, they all work flawlessly in IE 5 through 8, the last 5 major versions of FireFox, Chrome, Opera and Safari.
