Sonic the Hedgehog - 20th anniversary

I played all the "good sonics" sonic1,2,3 and sonic and knuckles. Aswell as sonic 2 on gamegear.

Those dual sega cartridge games where awesome. I also remember having a strange cartridge I needed for earthworm jim 2 that you had to put the code in the back of it to get it working.
 
I recently bought the Mega Drive collection on the PS3 and it comes with all the great ones. Sonic 3 was probably the best in the series though. Awesome platforming and that "flow" that their levels had made those early Sonics great.
 
I've heard good things about Sonic Colors. Seems like a return to form. Mind you I was always in the Mario camp during the neighborhood Sega vs Nintendo fights. Sonic was never my cuppa. I remember being totally blown away by the textures in Sonic Adventures on Dreamcast when it was first released though.
