I agree completely, but I think the article is referring to the MP (on PC). Can't comment on that since I play on PS3, but the SP was the best in the series IMO, and MP isn't bad either (at least on PS3). I know there are hundreds (thousands?) of PS3 users complaining about how broken it is, but I don't see what the problem is. The only thing that bothers me is the occasional lag spike.

My biggest disappointment was Alpha Protocol, really looked forward to it and although the story and RPG elements were really good, the bugs just ruined it for me.

It is not that. They tried and copied dawn of war 2 and it failed so very hard. What a terrible terrible terrible game. Makes ra3 look good.
 
Only game I don't agree with there is AVP, I only have two issues, the marines' gameplay wasn't very well thought out, and the only other issue is the short campaign.
 
Have to agree with every one of those games. The Star Wars MMO is a particularly huge disappointment considering the pedigree.

This would also apply to a certain FPS game that only worked properly three weeks after release.

LOL. You don't know what you're talking about noob. Mass Effect 2 was terrible in comparison to the original. If companies spent more time creating new IP's instead of repackaging the same crap as a sequel then maybe we'd have some decent games around

No, no. I heart ME2 way more than ME1 (hello, Legion!) and generally I like to think I have a much more eloquent way of being condescending -.-'

Still no idea whose feathers I ruffled to pull that one off.
 
It's obvious who the culprit is.....

Anyway my biggest disappoint for 2010 was Splinter Cell Conviction by a long way. An insult to the loyal fans of the series

My biggest disappointment (from the list) was Star Trek Online. I wanted to play it but then it ended up being like every other MMO. FF wasn't far off either, actually--it seemed promising but then... ick.

So, I've given up on MMOs until Secret World and Old Republic come out--perhaps they will revolutionise the genre.
