Hey.

I have the EVGA OC GTX 460, it's the FTW edition (didn't know at the time of buying, was complete bonus!) and it works super well for me. I got it for a really good price from Sybaritic.co.za. I don't know about leadtek factory OCing, but the FTW edition is the highest EVGA makes it OC in factory and mine was able to achieve 10 million particles at 30 FPS through CUDA. EVGA are really good with cards, so I would recommend them. I haven't had problems with my card so far, I am REALLY happy about it.

cool, i'll have a look at the evga range tomorrow. my main concern is how hot the cards gets and the amount of heat it generates. i would preferably keep the eggs in the pan and not in my pc...

I ran my card on the one of the hottest days here in CPT 36C and nothing happened. maybe the temp raised slightly, but by like 1 or 2 degrees. It has a fan ontop of what looks like a mini liquid cooling system from what I've glimpsed through the fan attached to the card. Suffice to say, the cooling system covers the entire side of the card that matters. It's like a big grey box. Also, the FTW is factory OCed by EVGA and it's the highest they've determined to be safe with the current cooling.

LOL, GTX460 is a pretty awesome card and from what I've heard, EVGA are one of the top-notch manufacturers. Also, it supports 3D which is really nice to have, even though I don't have a 3D screen :D

EDIT: forgot to say that I got my card for R1900, so it's quite the deal!

The EVGA card is in a whole different level for 460's. It will keep pace with a stock 5850 in most scenarios. It doesn't have much further headroom for OC'ing but it's already pretty much at the limit of what a 460 can do anyway so it doesn't matter really.

As for the leadtek, I'm not sure but I can't imagine it'll be worse than the stock cooler, which is generally pretty acceptable. I'd go for either the cheapest deal or the fastest most hardcore model, depending what your preference is.

as a proud owner of 2 gtx460 768mb's i can fully state it's a awesome card.

using inno3d reference design based cards.

not oc'ed at all and they rock.

I also have 2x Gigabyte GTX460's. What awesome cards. Have not had any problems. Even when black ops came out, no lag on full graphics.
