Do you suffer from 'gamer shame'?

I can say one thing and that is if the world ever ends in an apocalypse, I'd rather be stranded somewhere with a bunch of gamer people than people who don't play games :p

That way, when you have to resort to cannibalism, you can make it fun. :D

And yet they STILL want a centrefold of you :D

In the centrefold, might I suggest a rubbing a 360 and PS3 against your breasts while riding a PC? I'm sure we can fit a few hand-helds every here and there :D

I loled hard.

Its like chess...you test the waters and if the other person does not respond then you stfu 'cause nobody wants to get an earful about something they don't care about.

I lold. really though

:3

I'd rather be surrounded by non-gamers. Would make it easier to pick off which people you want to cannibalise (no emotional attachment, after all).

Hmm... raises an interesting question: Would you eat the ugly people first or the pretty people?

I loled hard.

Happy to have obliged :p

Battle Royal FTW.

@Lycan: I nearly died.

xD

You never know, it could be a big hit :p

Yup, that's pretty much like that with anything. Similar to things like klapping gym hard, boet. :D

^ Check TK for more details :p

Thing is my girlfriend was always busy in the background while I was trying to play games. Moving things here and there and sometimes into a waiting vehicle. I thought nothing of it because, hey, she was doing something she enjoyed, whistling all the while.

Ah Cathy. You stole my heart and my kitchen.

not ashamed but don't go screaming it out either. My best friend is one of those chicks that don't get gaming in general, but she has come to a understanding with me that it is something I do, we don't talk about gaming ever and I don't press the subject which suits me fine.

Besides her the only people I really get on with or hang out with are other gamers.
I don't bring it up unless the subject turns that way with new people, I always hope that it does because the conversation is always so much more interesting and enthusiastic, you automatically get a common ground.

It`s my mothers and SABC`s fault (first step is always blame shifting but its true).
She bought that 286 and SABC started repeats :p
Went through denial many times even though some friends/family/coworkers knew i played, that was until 3years ago my best friends brother in law invited us to a LAN.
I felt a different kind of welcome I`ve never felt before "whistling:
When I started dating my now wife, I decided there`s no point in hiding it and I remember how she hated it (was playing Freelancer at the time and drove her nuts).
I then formed a tactical battle plan which involved subtlety & her non-game playing brother. Now she`s great with it and even gets hooked on some games from time to time (She even joined the LAN and was rather fun)
She also digs games with a good story line. Gotta love her!
But I must admit I have balanced life a bit, unless I get a really good game and lock myself in until its over.
Now she complains more about my time on forums

Don't really see myself as a Gamer. I see myself as a participator in a story. To just sit and watch TV is the most boring thing in life to me, I like one show on TV and that's Castle.

I've played WoW in a high end raiding environment, I've played CS and Warcraft 3 at competitive level. Yet I still have the time to be a scratch golfer, do triple jump with Godfrey Makoena, have a girlfriend, cook dinner every night and work.

So I don't see myself as a gamer, it's not my personality. I just enjoy putting 200 hours over the course of 3 years into a Final Fantasy game.
:)

Jeez, this had me look up how much I game in a year... Had my XFire account since 2007, played 3,537 hours up until now. Over four years that averages to 884.25 hours of gaming a year which, if I'm not wrong, is about 2.4 hours of gaming a day. Not exactly earth-shattering, although it doesn't count the games XFire can't detect.

Thing with JRPGs is you can't sit down and play them solidly unless you're a patient saint. They need to be approached gently and in short bursts. I'm still playing one I started last year some time although, "playing" in the sense that I'm trying to convince myself to go at it again. Do love JRPGs though <3
