So there are 2 decent shooters out this month; Crysis 2 and Homefront. Both Sci-Fi and both look promising for their own reasons. My Question is now, which one to get?

Tell us which one your getting and why.

I already placed my PreOrder for Crysis 2. I loved the first 2 and want this one. But Homefront WILL be on my list if my money at the end of the month allows for it :)

I'm getting Crysis 2 mate.

I dunno why but for some reason I think Homefront is gonna bomb some how... Its got an interesting SP story (So does Crysis 2) but when it comes to MP Crytek has more experience (Imo). So overall I think that Crysis 2 is the better choice :)

Crysis 2 without a doubt, i just love it so much more. the nano suit, the weapons, the graphics. it all just blends so nicely.

Crysis, haven't played the demo, but from what i heard its a lot of fun. The Homefront preview sounded very... Meh

After playing the demo, I'll be picking up Crysis 2.

Multiplayer looks really fun, feels a lot like MW2 to me actually, and I think it may become a really popular online shooter.

Homefront... not so much.

Homefront.

Crysis was okay until the alien thing. I will wait for this to go bargain bin, which I suspect will happen fairly quickly. Crysis and Crysis 2 look amazing and are very and will be very good benchmarking tools, but as for games it sucked and will suck enough to not make that mistake again.

It also 'feels' like MW2 on steroids to me.

But I have Homefront pre-ordered already. Crysis is $59.99 bad trend.

I'm getting both but if I had to choose I'd go against everyone else here so far and bet on Homefront. Don't have any specific reason why but hey, you can always get Crysis later when the prices drop.

I reckon i will be getting both in the end, but going to wait for Homefront to come and see what everyone says about it.

Would have been nice to have a homefront demo to be able to make an informed decision, I imagine most will get crysis 2 and wait to see what homefront has to offer.

+1

This is exactly my opinion. Without a demo I can't gauge if Homefronts multiplayer is going to be any good. I'm getting Crysis because I thought the demo was fantastic.

Thats the Steam price. I'm getting mine from BT Games for R299. :/

Yeah, pretty odd to release a new game in the same month as a massive title and not provide a demo. I really hope homefront is awesome, but i will wait.

Interesting feedback, thanks guyz. I am noticing that MP seems to be what many people are focusing on, and I am not. Crysis, to me, looks all flash an no substance. I played the demo and did not enjoy it. Felt cumbersome and like MW2, which i think is stupid. You have unique setting, why go and be just another military shooter. The suit abilities also left alot to be desired, cloak fizzles out if i walk more than 20m, people shoot you from across the map so strength is waisted and speed... well it just felt the same as in Crysis 1. The energy runs out entirely too fast, some super suit. Yes it does look pretty impressive but good visuals alone isn't enough to sell it too me. I haven't heard much about its SP so there isn't much to be excited about.

Homefront on the other hand looks to be setting its self apart. Yes it is military themed but your not in an army of trained soldier and I would like to see how the game explores that, if it goes into those dark places and considering the guy who penned the plot also did Apocalypse Now, where they did go to those dark places, I am excited about this one.

There is still time before release so I'll wait and see, maybe with the help of Bulletstorm I will also get both...

Apocalypse Now?! thanks now i have to get it. :P ... admittedly he wrote the screenplay and not the novel. But still this is very good news.

He also wrote the screenplay for Red Dawn (Which had a similar principal that Homefront). A screen writer is better suited to writing for games than a novelist. It was the thing they used to sell the game before much was known about it, they pasted John Milius's name all over it.
