Razer Megalodon Headset

Hey Guys

So I decided to treat myself last year for a decent gaming headset as a nice christmas prezzie! So went out did some research and finally decided on the razer Megalodon's. Damn you should see this piece of art! It's marvelous, it's got it's own carry case, no drivers necessary and the sound is out of this world.

Everything was lekker up to now. Over the weekend something looked strange about my monster of a headset so after thorough inspection I've noticed that my side lites are not working, it's basicly just a backlite for the razer logo.

Everything else is still working 100%, but now my question is, do I take it back and ask for a new set, or should I just live it?

Sorry to hear that man, I have heard other people have had issues with these headsets.

I would take it back, get your cash and buy the G35's :D
 
Take them back if they're under warranty. I had Razer Barracudas that fell apart after a few months. Tiny screws that stripped themselves from normal, careful use. Build quality is pretty awful. Got Roccat Kaves and they're way more solid.
 
@ Grimpspoon: I actually had to choose between the G35's and the razer's but just wanted something a bit more unique.
Do you think if I take it back I'll be able to exchange it for another headset or can I only exchange it for megalodon's?

The G35's are really pretty awesome. Roccats also pretty good, but I prefer the USB connectivity of the G35s.

Depends where you bought them. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Yeah went to the guys, they didn't want to budge, sent it in for repairs instead! So I'll be headless for 2 weeks: (

PS, i would wait until the month and then under the new consumer act demand my money back! :D They will have to oblige, as it will be, if the product is less than 6 months old.

So they didn't want to exchange it for a g35 but they have me a brand new headset! So who's complaining?! Haha: D
