Well ... I hate to break it to you, but this is a quote directly from ArenaNet, regarding their plans for Gamescom in August:

17-21 August 2011: Europe's largest game show in beautiful Cologne, Germany, is definitely on our list. We'll have a demo build of Guild Wars 2, plenty of devs on hand to meet fans and answer questions, and some cool surprises.

The e-mail also mentions PAX in October, although they say nothing about GW2 there, just mentioning "big plans". So, at the very least I don't think we can expect to hear anything about a release date until then.

Yeah.

We will be lucky if we see Guild Wars 2 released this year. If it is released this year, which I seriously doubt, it would probably be around end Nov or Xmas release.
 
I think the excitement's kinda topped out for me - I really can't get excited about it anymore. Not that I'm any less inclined to get the game or anything - it's gonna be beaut for sure. But for heaven's sake, it's like making a kid forward to his Christmas present from the 2nd of January - after a while it's just - "Yeah ... look ... fuckit ... I'll be happy when it gets here."

That's how I feel right now.
 
Thanks Tank. So they are ready to say that their MMO will own them all! I sure hope it does at least make a dent in the ever-present WOW...and from what we have seen the potential is totally there. The remaining problem is to get [other] die-hard fans to actually look at the game.. WOW will be the CS1.6 of MMOs....
 
you know, there's so much crossed wiring in what Anet are saying...

you look at the demo's and stuff, it's polished to a massive degree and yet they are saying "still a ways off"...

Not commenting any further on Guild Wars 2. I will be withdrawing myself from any further speculation, guess work and information... Until next profession reveal that is. Once the game is out I will get it, play it and enjoy it.

no speculation on the 2 remaining classes?

i'm still think the one is gonna be a sniper type class for rifles :p
 
Yep mesmer undercover with another name maybe... Queen Jennah uses mesmer magic, unless she is the only one with that powerfull magic remaining in the world... which will just be downright weird!
