What OS? Maybe the new OS's report the capacity more accurately. I doubt it's dead sectors, highly unlikely.

Those Seagate Hybrids cause issues!

XP so that might be it. Altho in all honesty I just use about 10% of the drive. All our work is saved to the server. I just found it odd
