The amazing thing about Live South Africa is that if you click on the "DEAL OF THE WEEK" link on the website when you are a Gold subscriber then you are taken to either the UK or US website and then when you want to purchase it will tell you that the product is not available in your country.

I really wish that something could be done about this. Maybe give South Africans a different deal of the week. We are already losing out on all the great arcade games. But Gold subscribers are losing out on the Deal of the Week specials too. And we pay more for it.

That's strange. You can sign-up on XBL for R599 for 12 month Gold.

The membership last's for 12 months. You average game doesn't take that long to complete

Yeah. I got from CNA @ R299. Dionwired also selling at that price. But Take2.co.za is the cheapest I've seen it. Does anyone know if its possible to buy this now and keep it for a years' time- will it still work?

As far as I know you should be able to buy a bunch of them and just add them on to your subscription, so if you buy 3, and put all the codes in, you should get 36 months loaded into your account. I had a bit remaining from my month-to-month membership, and it just added 12 months to the expiry date

As to saving it for a year, I don't know of any sort of expiration on the codes.

Probably the best thing if you're unsure would be to call MS support and ask them how it works

No real reason to migrate to SA account, no real benefit.....my download speeds for UK account are great (I have no issues)
