Hey Guys
Early reviews are in for the game, looking good, getting between 8.0-9.0/10. I am totally psyched for it and noticed that good ol' www.exclusives.co.za have added the game to their website. Game release is April 29th. Thats gonna be my wish item for this week.

Whose your favorite character from MK?
For me, its Scorpion.

To anyone reading reviews on this game, please ignore the IGN review. The guy that reviewed the game for IGN is a complete moron (no citation needed - confirmed).

As for my favorite character - for MK9 I have a feeling it's going to be Cyber Sub-Zero :)

Haha - very funny. Fact of the matter is the guy doesn't know what he's talking about. And you insinuating that any good review of the game needs to be bribed just states that you know about just as little. Flippen troll.

FYI, the definition of what a good joke is, is pretty subjective. For example: I found this particular joke to be both funny and witty, whereas you did not.

Yeah, I also disagree with the IGN review. I just read the Eurogamer review which feels a bit bipolar because it rants about how great the game is, then gives it a 7/10. WTF? Only reason metacritic score is 86 and not higher.

"But to judge Mortal Kombat harshly simply because it isn’t the equal of BlazBlue or Street Fighter IV on a technical level would be unfair to what the game does right. The series has always ridden in the wake of its own spectacle, but after years of unfocused deviation, we finally have an evolution that demonstrates clear progress. It’s the best 3D game in the series by a long way, and that’s because it embraces the 2D heritage which always made Mortal Kombat its own kind of game. Long may it kontinue."

More people comparing it to Street Fighter IV. Sigh. I'm really of the opinion that these "game reviewers" are a bunch of 12yo kids who shouldn't be taken seriously at all. Anyways, stuff them, the game is going to be great. And as soon as those assholes at NuMetro get their act together, we'll be able to find out some or other time.
 
I saw some more gameplay videos on the Verge last night. Now I need this game. Who cares if it is not as technical as SF...it is MK!
