Thor God of Thunder :Movie

So last night I went and watched Thor after a very eager and long wait
ever since the first pictures were leaked I ,said to my self please don't be a crap or campy movie .

Thor is not well know to many ,well known as much as spidy or Captain America
but for those that do know him knows he has a particular attitude and story that doesn't change much , except for in the Ultimate Universe (which this is based on ) where Thor and gang are really advanced aliens.

I was more than pleasantly surprised by the movie ,yes I went into it with a little bias being a Marvel fan , but straight from the get go I was drawn in to the story , Thor's attitude was perfect and the effects delivered more than expected.

Now it wont be winning any awards (yet it should for the beautiful creation of Asgard and that awesome hammer ) because it is no The Dark Knight but the focus is on the character and a very family relationship Brother's and there differences, Son's trying to live up to there father , the Scenes with Thor and Loki are intense and you can feel the emotion , the same goes for Thor and Odin .

This movie has something most comic book adoptions don't ,it sticks firmly to the story set out by the comic book , my only disappointment is that he fell in love with Jane (Natalie Portman) too quick , but then again damn so would I

It is a very entertaining movie that delivers even if you don't know who Thor is definitely worth the watch (but not in 3D although cool action scenes blur too quick)

Marvel has done an Excellent job of setting up there movie universe ,and by the time the Avengers Movie is here I know it will dive straight into it ,all the characters already been developed in these movies

So yeah thats a 7.5 /10 from me great watch
be sure to stay after the credits for the post credit scene

I'm not reading in case of spoilers, but awesome, I've been waiting for ages for this to come out. Booking now for tomorrow night.

I watched it last night also. Good, decent coming book movie with a nice cameo thrown in for good measure. If you go to watch it my advice is this: Watch it in 2D not 3D - its a really lame 3d conversion and 2 sit until after the credits, there is one hell of a sneak peak.

/refuses to read anymore

I am watching it later today. I hope it's going to be Epic!

It is ,of all the adaption s I have seen this one is the best and thats not the fanboi talking its the movie buff in me .

It really was an awesome though I missed the first 10 minutes :( We had booked tickets a week ago and these bunch of douches where in our seats. We eventually got them to move. I sort of started watching when he was sent to earth. The movie was really funny as well.

8/10

Thor was awesome. I agree with the 3D conversion, though its not showing in 2D in many cinemas.. 8/10.
Look out for Stan Lee's cameo and hints for Avengers movie in it.
Can't wait til Captain America: The First Avenger in July!

Does anybody care to share what happened at the end of the credits...? The idiot in the projector room managed to burn through the film at the end

I read about this movie in the Weekend Argus. I really am keen to see this. Will probably see it sometime next week

Thor initially didnt seem like the type of movie I'd be interested in and enjoy but much to my dismay when I went inside the cinema to watch it i actually quite enjoyed it. There was a good balance between the action and the progression of the storyline. The odd humorous scene made the movie seem very 'fun' in a way and after I had seen Thor I was pretty impressed. The 3D version isnt spectacular but dont let it get in the way of watching the movie. Good effects and action make Thor one hell of an enjoyable film! 8/10

***SPOILER ALERT***

In the scene Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) travels to New Mexico to meet with Dr. Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard). He is there to discuss recent discoveries Selvig has made regarding alternate universes. He is also there to get Selvig's advice about a large metal case, which contains the Tesseract/Cosmic Cube.

When Selvig asks what it is, Fury responds that it is a source of immense power. The camera then pans back to Selvig, and a reflection reveals that Selvig is now being possessed by Loki (Tom Hiddleston), who says: "That's very interesting."

is it me or the credits were the best part in 3D?

Definitely agree with you there, they had awesome 3D. Pitty the rest of the 3D was so mediocre.

haha yea... really want to watch it again
2D seems like just the excuse needed

So I'm not the only one that noticed the 3D was shit. Would seem it was the actual movie itself and not just my cinema?
