Well, think about it... What is there really to do? The entire experience is monotonous. You grind up to 85 and then what? You grind for achievements, reputation, mounts, heirlooms...

There's barely any substance to it.

Yup.

I really hope Old Republic or even Guild Wars 2 or Secret World end up a much more engaging experience. Another MMO of the same tired crapola and I honestly don't see the MMO genre going anywhere.
 
Getting better at doing content and that's why we leave? No, it's the same old shitty game year after year, no innovation at all. Just shinier bloom effects. Hell, the only "new" things in the game is catering for the casual market.

I think Blizzard starting to fear GW2 or Old Republic
What could they possibly do next? Orcs invade Kalimdor
with spaceships and lazerguns ftw!
 
Exactly why I gave up on playing WoW.
Not so much due to the subscription fees but playing League Of Legends for free doesnt hurt my pocket and it keeps fresh.
I played WoW since it came out and I really really started to hate the game in the end.
My most loved character , my Rogue , was usefull when WoW started , people needed a rogue ,
disarming traps , unlocking doors , rogues had use ,
in the end , rogues who were pure DPS classes , were out performed by the newer classes ,
other classes get better armor and even got buffs to keep themselves healed ..
Im not going to start a flame war here or have other classes complain how OP rogues where ,
All im saying is , the game felt unbalanced to me in the end , and the toons I leveled felt like a whole waste of time.
After doing all the randoms I could possibly do , I found myself in the deep dark pit of not having achievements to link to allow me to join certain raids.
You need to join the raid to get the achievement but you dont have the achievement so you cant join the raid ..
Stupid circle if you ask me.

Just my 2c on why im not playing WoW anymore..

Probably a good thing to get some sunshine again :)
