The Witcher 2 Chat Thread

Solved my issue. Changed the button configuration to pushing the spacebar instead of lmb. Can't press the mouse button fast enough it seems.

Rest of the game is great, just dislike the qte.

Btw. If you import a witcher 1 save the raven armour and silver sword from lady of the lake gets imported.

I'm just disappointed that pub fights are now also entirely qte. And it's really easy.

Also, the game seems quite unstable. I get giant memory leaks and I can't play for more than an hour at a time without it crashing on me.
 
I have had no crashes, game runs very smooth for me. Everything ultra except uber sampling, averaging about 50-55 so far.

Big tip for everyone : Go into the Gameplay Settings and turn off the "Difficult QTEs" setting! If you hate this absurd fast QTE nonsense turn that off ASAP.

Anyone downloading it on steam? Is the game cached on any of the local content servers yet?
Currently getting it from UK- London, But fuck is it slow. At this rate, I might be able to enjoy the game next week.

Try changing your region to Singapore, I usually get good speeds from them.

Caps at about 120 KB/s Hopefully by tomorrow, one of the local content servers will be cached =)

Boys, I have a 2.4 dual core, 2 gb ram, 1gb ddr3 graphics card and running windows 7. Wither 2 is working.... on the lowest of low. I need to upgrade my m/b, ram, and chip but not enough cash yet.

So I was wondering if anyone can give me tips on what I should buy first to make it run better. Or is AMD worth it, seeing its much cheaper?

Whats Wither 2?

It works on my PC as well and I don't even meet the minimum requirements. :D I had ti set it to a kak resolution, which is made worse by my 24inch screen, but it's playable. I'm about 3 or 4 hours in now and loving it. Everything I expected and more.

I finally got around to installing the game, and oh boy, does my PC take a pounding :S Better start saving for a new mobo and CPU.

Otherwise, the game is looking fantabulous! Can't wait to sink a solid few hours of proper gameplay in today :D
 
Howzit guys,

I'm having a bit of trouble with the DLC, for some reason it doesn't want to d/l???
It's forever trying to make a connection! Is there a way to pause the d/l? I'm busy with the Troll Double DLC but I want to pause it and see if my Roche Jacket will d/l but I dunno how to pause the Troll Trouble :(.

Can anyone tell me how?
