Im sorry for my fanboy comment but hearing that the PSN has been hacked and has been down for over 3 weeks is the biggest joke for me and its a pity i realy wanted to get a PS3 but after reading this thats definatly out the window

That can be put down to technicalities. Constraints of Storage.

I think the answer is quite simple, he's too lazy to get off his ass and swap a disk.
As long as there's a point to having all 3 disks, which there surely is, then by all means carry on devs

yeah have to agree, whats wrong with 3 disks? When I first read the title i thought it was more YAY 3 disks (Kind of means extra content to me). But his reasoning for not buying an Xbox is because L.A. Noire comes on 3 disks? Do you feel ripped off with your Play-station Blu-ray disks when only half of the disk is filled with content?

The fact that Blu-Rays can hold more data that regular dvd's is a well known fact, so by putting its across 3 dvds they don't have to cut content, visuals anything. I think they should be commended for this. The amount of detail in the facial animations must take up a significant portion of the space and its not exactly a short game neither so yeah I guess your right, he's just too lazy to swap disks once every 3 or 4 hours.

They should have someone build them a special tray loader for their PC/Ps3/whatever they games on so it changes disks for him, maybe then they can get past the "zomg it uses teh 3 disks kill me now" haha

I don't mind multiple discs to be honest. Hell, Lost Odyssey was 4 discs. Didn't detract from the game at all.
