PSN “didn't seem like the likeliest place for an attack” says Sony

I see a lot of nasty comments on the anonymous comment section. I get the feeling that a lot of people don't have the balls to reveal the true identity and respond with the same lack of respect.

I think this Sony hacking drama is extremely unfair towards the customer. So much for looking out for the consumer. I say balls. Hackers are in it for the lulz and are looking for an excuse to throw their toys out of their prams... and then just do it for the lulz. Pathetic.

I couldn't agree more. They're being extremely selfish and it is so frustrating. Well, hopefully this will make PSN a much safer and more dependable platform after this.

PSN was depenable before the hack, it suffered very little downtime, and mostly short maintenace periods which didnt affect you if you were already logged in... The hack exposed the vulnerability of the network, which from now on Sony will be paying attension to.

Sony is a great company, they brought you the PS1 - 3, all of which were THE next-gen consoles...

They also have other excellent products, they manufacture just about everything...

So when their network gets taken down by the largest and most "skilled" hacking group in the world, this does not make them incompetent? I can assure you that 99% of the companies in the world will have suffered the same fate if they were targeted by Anonymous...

And I can assure YOU, that 99% of the companies in the world would have done something about the security problems had they known about it in the first place for YEARS IN ADVANCE...
