Nice name. Might be true. What do you think of the 'unconfirmed' name?

I think i like the tern NGP beta has an awesome ring to it, almost like what they called Megatron in Transformers; i believe it was NVE-1... Vita just a wierd ass name.

I suppose it might be a more fitting title if it were also a mobile phone... being a more complete part of a person's life(style). Otherwise though, I agree with most that this is likely just a rumour... or at least we hope.

That's the first thought that came to mind for me.

It's horrible. Dunno which was worse, when they changed the Nintendo (Revolution? Something like that) to "Wii", or this.

I dont like the vita part, not that i have any suggestions on it.

but Vita \v(i)-ta\ as a girl's name is of Latin origin, and the meaning of Vita is "life". So its pretty cool

I would have also gone with PSP2 like the bigger console counterpart naming. Maybe, they didn't want people to identify with the original Visually though, it looks the same except for another analogue stick. Still time for Sony to change their minds...

It makes me think of Vista. And that makes me think of Windows Vista. And that makes me cringe.
