The Witcher 2 Confirmed for Xbox 360

Interesting, wonder whether they'll have to make big graphical compromises in order to get it working on the lesser hardware?
 
Two things are pleasing about this;

1) The game came to PC first, meaning the dev approached it with the PC as the primary platform and built the came accordingly taking full advantage of the hardware available. Amen.

2) The game will not be a port to Console. It will be almost rebuilt FOR the console and will be tailored to it's controller and tech specs.

^This is the way it is suppose to be done! Not make for console and 3 months later dump some crap port on PC with!
 
I think it's a bit unfair to leave out the PS3 version of such a critically acclaimed title...they should have rather waited til' they had it ready on both consoles. :/

Seems to me that many design choices were made fully knowing that they were going to take it to console. I have yet to play with a controller, but supposedly certain elements change to accommodate the controller setup, which is hint number one. Also, from what I read, many testers for the games used controllers, hint number 2. Then some talk about environments being smaller so as to be more conducive to consoles and their limitations, hint number 3. I am fully sure they focused primarily on the PC version, but the option to go console was always in their minds when developing.

To me at least, I figure they planned this all the while. Certain choices were made to make it easier for a console version. But if they had said a console version was in the works at the same time, the PC elitists would have frothed with rage with such atrocious news. I am almost certain if it was stated a console version was being made before PC release, many people would have had strong misguided feelings against the game due to the whole "consoles are dumb" debate.
