I totally agree with the OP, for this reason:
Go get Witcher 2 and jam it!
And no, you didn't do anything wrong, to0ken.

WItcher 2 is clearly a contender for game of the year, but I left RPGcodex in disgust last week, when I had to hear I'm a 'consoletard untermenschen', because I like The Witcher 2. I mean, WTF? They went and actively looked for 'reasons' to prove The Witcher 2 was 'consolized'. One of the best PC games in a long time, and still people are not satisfied? I can understand tastes differ, but this wasn't because those assholes' tastes didn't include this game, this was because they believed anything that isn't Baldur's Gate 2 sucks. :/
THere's this entire elitist fad going around on gaming forums, and it's making me sick. It seems a game has to give you 10 spreadsheets to just change your weapon before these guys will be satisfied. And even then, they'll just find the next thing to get angry about. I actually made a tweet on the issue a few minutes ago.
I'm getting really, really tired of gaming forums filled with people who simply won't be satisfied with any game released.
It's like some PC gamers have such sticks up their arses, they simply hate every new game on principle. Honestly. It's getting old.
I just don't get it. Really, when did games have to become excercises in Einstein-like cognitive ability to be fun?
