I`m busy building this cathedral.
What are you building?
 
I was busy with building a castle ontop of a mountain, had finished leveling the mountain and built stairs to the top of it with water coming down the sides when minecraft crashed...... 6 hours of work and I didn't save........ :(
 
i have got an Eiffel tower, and a whole city with a school and apartments. busy leveling a mountain to create a giant pyramid

All I've done is spent 6hours digging to the center of the earth hahaha... :p
 
Anyone know of any multiplayer servers? I just bought the game after playing the demo on the new NAG.

Was just something we thought would look nice in the middle of the water and it was fun putting it together. We intend to build a small town/village next just for the hell of it.

I don't get it.
Played it.
Tried again.
Forced a few more hours out of myself for it.

Just don't "get it".
The whole MineCraft thing just baffles me...

I didn't get it at first either. The entire concept was lost on me until I started playing with my other half. It's actually pretty therapeutic and relaxing. I don't really get WHY I enjoy it, I just do. Bear in mind that it's not something I play hardcore 24/7 but I do enjoy playing it every so often just as a kind of "time-out."
 
It's there to mess around with I guess ...... good stress reliever, lol :D

Today I started building my mega-market ...... 15 stories of storage in anticipation of Iconomy.
 
I'll upload my latest creation soon, sitting at work on lunchtime playing it. Been building a little castle. Lost my recent build which was a massive castle with a town around it... so now this little guy has to do for now.

Now I know it's evening and a bit hard to see but it's actually quite a large place, with a fully functioning farm and I'm starting to make a nice mine with minetracks and everything. Powered by the way :p

I've only built a small house not worth wasting your eyes on... It did have a secret basement and underground tunnel out to the water though.
 
i only played for about a hour and didn't really get anywhere. Looking forward to playing some more when get home to get into it.
Need to build a safe house asap though... got killed with no defenses. even block monsters are pretty creepy at night, hiding behind corners....
 
I was running servers for our clan guys a little while back, but it became a pain to keep them up to date, so I took them down.

One of our guys, Vortex, was very creative with some of his creations, and I built quite a few things here and there. If it looks really sloppy with no real structure, then it's mine. If it looks like an art piece, it's Vortex's. :D You can see the map overviews here:
(The -vanilla was a plain unmodded server)

If you do set up another server let me know. It gets boring playing by yourself =/
