RoseZA is celebrating its 2 year birthday in July 2011, its been quite a ride and I'm sure most of you know who we are, I could write pages on our journey so far, but this post is not about that ...

RoseZA is pleased to Announce that on 01 July 2011 we will be launching our Online Shopping Cart. Primarily designed for our Player base, however it is open to ALL public. We will be focusing mainly on Computer Hardware, but will also be selling Game Item's related to RoseZA.

This Online Store has been a while in the making, allot of research was done, allot of money spent, We have secured excellent suppliers and our Sole purpose is to supply descent hardware and descent brand names to our players at near cost pricing. There will be very few stores that will manage to match allot of our pricing.

I guess what I am saying is that RoseZA is finally expanding In the Online Community !

Anyone looking to upgrade In July should definitely pop by our store, we are definitely going to be competing against some of the bigger stores and we may just surprise you ...

Store's Official Opening date : 01 July 2011.

For more information please visit our homepage at : http://www.roseza.co.za

Oh interesting. I've never heard of you guys but I will be checking it out. Where are you guys located?

Never heard of us ? **Shocked**

Clearly I need to advertise more on this forum ...

We have been running the Only Local only Free to Play MMORPG RoseZA gaming server in SA for 2 years now, we have been in the PC format twice, 3 times hopefully soon, been in the TOP 100 FREE MMORPG list more than once at number 3 and 5. The Project is sponsored by MWeb, at least the local side of it, the International side ( our server in Germany ) is financed by us.

check out our Gaming Site, click here. or click on my sig...

As for where we are, we are everywhere, the team is all over South Africa, some even outside the country, the Local box however is located in Cape Town ...

Wow interesting... I am shocked that I haven't heard of you guys to be honest. Thing is I don't really read magazines anymore and do most of my stuff online.

We went Live in July 2009, but we were around long before even then. We started out with less than a handful of guys guys coding on a box in my bedroom and went from that to what we are today, a group with servers in multiple countries and 14 staff members ( Excluding our testers ). Like I said, its quite a story to tell ...

And something interesting I saw today, the game is free to play, however you buy items from the item mall. I generated a report on RP sold over the last 2 years, now keep in mind 1 RP is R1. We have sold over 40 000RP, and that does not include specials or events where we may have given RP away for free. and we have a very good track record for RP sales, I have thousands of players that could vouch for good service on that front, so I guess that is a big positive for us where opening a store is concerned, we aren't new to sales and we have a good track record with players receiving what they paid for, quite often more than what they paid for.

I could probably make a little review script where past customers could rate us. Altho the Store has built in Review features.

Sounds really good to me... so how would you rate the mmo then? Out of 10?

Well, its what I would consider a "fun, fantasy" MMORPG. its not hack or lash, you don't go and raid a town of Orcs or anything of the sorts. Its really hard to rate it, you will either love or hate it. if you love it you will rate it well, otherwise not.

The economy is completely player driven, the game itself is very much stat based, don't let the cute / cartoony look fool you, the game is quite complex and the learning curve can be quite hard. Classes are quite dependant on each other. Crafters make ingame items, Clerics buff groups and players and so forth. Most of the NPC shops just sell the Necessity items, the real items you buy at player shops, crafters or trade players for them. Combat is quite unique, each combat type has its own formula ( Ranged, Melee, Magic attacks, skill attacks etc etc ), Combat is also mostly Clan VS Clan or Union VS Union, you have events that are automated like Union Wars where different unions battle it out ...

I would say to anyone to try it to really know if you will enjoy it.

O and id just like to say thnx to mygaming for not deleting my thread. the "@holes" at mybb deleted my thread and slapped me with a warning for posting about the store opening. I really don't get it, we are actually trying to add a little competitive edge to online shopping, and typical of SA Mentality on MyBB forums, you get a door slapped in your face... O well, their loss :)

Does the game world still consist of hundreds of teeny tiny areas which you have to travel through? That's one of the main reasons I stopped playing.

you talking about zones ? All mmorpg's have that, that cant be helped, Rose world is spread over seven planets. however, some zones are small, others quite big. I don't remember any of them being as tiny as you make it sound tho, unless you refering to the starting zones, which has increased in size quite a bit since we first started out...

A - this is a R.O.S.E server, not a private server, we work on our own sources, no one else's.

B - please don't compare us to that sh!tty server, they aren't even in the same league as us, they also run a completely different type of Rose.

C - this thread is not about our game server or the legalities of it, if you wish to discuss any politics please do so on our website, you will find all the info you want there, after which would I be happy to answer any other questions you may have, you can post any questions there.

I played it somewhere last year, can't remember exactly when, and I had to run to an area to get a level 10 trainer, or something like that. After going through quite a few zones, I just gave up.

ah yes, the level 10 Job quest, yes that would be why I said it had quite a difficult and complex learning curve. We have since then redone those maps, I think in Jan this year we completely revamped the start area, its allot easier now and far less maps.

We also implemented a In-game Help system, specially for beginner players, you can now easily open a ticket if you need help with anything and a GM will come running to assist you.

The game only really begins after you Finnish that job quest, until then you are basically a visitor without even any skills ...

I'll check it out again sometime then. I've just got my hands full between playing both Eve Online and Lord of the Rings online, but I'm not extending my Eve online subscription, so I'll have a bit more time then. :P
