BF3 vs MW3 - E3 videos

Bwhahahaha!

Loving this! Everything that comes outa Kotpricks mouth just get's slammed! The retort from John was so slick as it seems BF3 will be launching on all 3 platforms...Not so cocky now are you eh Bob? Now that BF3 ain't just being launched for the "small" PC community but also on your bread and butter consoles eh Bob?

I pray to the gamer gods to let the best game win - BF3. Amen!

MW3 is looking like the same frikken game. Really sad actually. I'm a die hard MW fan but this is one I will most certainly not be buying. Bring on BF3

Bf3 is teh awesome, MW3 and activision are in real trouble.. They arn't gonna be holding the FPS monopoly much longer.. I just hope that EA don't screw up in some retarded way but so far the game looks solid.

But with MW3 I'm at least guaranteed a satisfying fast-paced, no-brainer, action romp, which is exactly what I'm going for. Plus the chances are better that it'll actually run on my PC.

I'm buying both regardless of which one is better at doing what :) Gives me more MP games to play at the end of the day, and that's what counts to me.
No matter how crap COD might sound now to some players, it's still going to outsell BF3. Not saying it's going to be better at all, just saying its going to take more than a miracle to top the COD franchise. Activision will win this one, MW3 will unfortunately be the biggest selling title of this year, it's almost guaranteed. Heck, I've got a lot of gripes with MW3 already but that's not stopping me from buying it.

I say unfortunately cause I don't like where it's going whatsoever.

Yea... COD MW:3 5 Hours of gameply. BF3 12+ Hours....

A lot of thought going into that one ;)

Thing is, as the article said, there's a hugely different approach in the style of gameplay with the two games - CoD tends to be over the top action-oriented, while the BF approach is more time consuming because you need to take tactics etc into account. In all honesty, I've found the BFBC2 experience vastly more satisfying than the MW2 SP campaign.

Multiplayer will probably figure greatly in decisions as well - since BF again has a very strong tactical element with a strong teamplay element - which has less focus in MW.

It's still a no-brainer for me since I've long since stopped supporting Activision - but even putting that aside I'd probably still prefer BF3 over MW3.

The other thing is of course that DICE won't milk the BF series like Actipiss does with COD.

This is like a once in a blue moon release from DICE that just so happens to be beating the living shit outta the old and soggy COD rag.

The battle between BF3 and MW3 really highlights something which was mentioned in another thread:

BF3 - developed for PC gaming - looks amazing, and will probably be amazing on all platforms.
MW2- developed primarily for console - looks outdated and gameplay looks like an arcade.
