Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will run on two different engines simultaneously

This:
Frank O’ Connor assured fans that the company would “never ignore the roots and foundation of what makes Halo successful" and “never try to replicate what Bungie did.”

Worries me, since its essentially a remake of CE should they not do EXACTLY what Bungie did? I would say strap the Halo Reach Graphical Engine to the CE engine and run it like that. A few minor gameplay tweaks but nothing drastic, else it becomes less a hd remake and more a updated version. CE remains one of the best console shooters ever, even it its old age. Nice HD graphics and some updated co-op and MP support is all it needs.

ALSO...I sense a retcon coming.....

and if you thought they would not rape the ip you were very naive Omega.

let's face it any succesful ip will be milked to to death

In a world with money-hungry people, it's only normal to expect it.

I suppose it's fine though, as long as there's good innovation and not the same washed up junk over and again like CoD.

switch back and forth between HD and classic, WTF....
also I want dual welding and energy swords

Saw THIS video on GT.com and it looks like they will be running the reach engine and just retexturing and rebuilding the levels to work with the new tech. If they are just take what Bungie did and add the Reach Engine to it i'm going to be a happy man. I did notice several weapons lived directly out of Reach, not to mention the look of the Elites.
