That would be the worst possible thing to ever happen in such a situation.
Basically, information obtained illegally. The whole case would get thrown out of court faster than a drunk dressed in nothing but doughnut-jam.
It's these little things that cause massive court cases to fall flat on their faces like a wobbly infant. Only this time there is no mommy to rub some Mercurochrome on and kiss it better.
What if it was all completely anonamous? like what if noone could tell where the evidence came from, it just appeared? even if it just put suspicions onto the culprits. no smoke without fire kinda thing?
No.
If you cannot provide the (verified) source of any evidence in court - and thus its authenticity/integrity, it remains illegal.
That is a shitty system![]()
So someone needs to challenge them to hack blizzard and blizzard needs to be waiting. They will have a good day or more to trace these guys while they try to hack it. is this a plausible idea?
I think it's safe to say that they have absolutely no interest in defending gamers' rights or even consumers' rights. They're criminals pure and simple. Find them, jail them and then show them to the world so that we might appreciate the poetic irony of caged birds.
