no but seriously, at the previous company i got screwed with my hours, finally decided to count my hours and found to be working overtime and not getting paid or given hours back, i refuse to work for free, i dont mean 15 or 30 min extra, im talking hours here, hours of my time, i dont mind working overtime but its give and take :)

No its not OK, but that's why I prefer to look at things in an outcome based way
ie, if job X will require this many hours to complete, I slot in those hours and well, get it done :)

Thats often what we do, it isnt "oh i have worked 9 hours so im done"

If needed, overtime is the norm....

But at this company i actually dont count hours since we are supposed to work till 18h00 but we can go at 17h30 and on fridays we can leave at 17h00...so ya its a give and take and i owe them :)
