Kel - its more a warning for those who EVER want to make alterations to their home.
You will need permission from 3- 5 neighbours. The three around you and the one across the road. 9 out of 10 times the ones around you will sign all paperwork with not a word being said. The neighbour across the road will become the bane of your existance.
We are currently making minor alterations to 3 houses for various clients. In all three cases the neighbour across the road has an objection. The main one is windows facing them - they will insist that it be removed, frosted or various other excuses just so you cant look across the road into their kitchen, lounge whatever and see them walking around nekkid. But their windows are allowed to remain overlooking your house. . . .
