Diablo III will not support mods

Diablo 2 was released in 2000, there is still people playing the game to date because of Mods and LAN play.

Game makers "skiet hulleself in die voet" !!!!!!!!!!

MODS is what keeps the game alive after the initial hype

I guess gamer publishers cant take it that someone else has a better idea than that had initially.
 
Mods / modding tools promote longevity in games.

But it also takes money away from the freaken stingy publishers, that's why this is becoming a norm.
 
They don't want you playing the same game for 10years they want you buying their new, nearly identical, game every year instead.
 
Mods are always fun, it's a shame that Blizzard doesn't use modding as another way to promote the games longetivity :(
 
Wait for them to announce mods being allowed,
its a huge part of what keeps a game alive,
look at starcraft and what spawned from it (DOTA and Tower Defence) [ok maybe not tower defence so much but i had so many lan tower defence maps for starcraft its crazy]

They really need to rethink that one..
 
premium mods you buy yeah.

that's the way they are going. and millions will pay.
 
Aaaw! Another disappointment from Blizzard. D3's chances to be game of the year is getting slimmer.....
 
I will also buy it , i enjoyed every single one of the diablo games ,
each and every one of them had a great story and plenty of atmosphere.
Just a pity that companies who only care about money , come to ruin it for us all.
