It likes it when I change my details :D

*basks in having had no problems yet*

I poop you not, I have tried, unsuccessfully, at least ten times, to change my postal address, specifically. Then, one day in the distant future, it magically had it set. I'm not impressed.

Strangely, there are always some who never notice problems. Perhaps you are the lucky ones ;)

Hah! I had my details initially set to where I used to work. I then changed it to my residence, and the first time it was okay with deliveries... then suddenly they came up with a monstrous Frankenstein of both my old address and new one combined. No wonder I had to wait a week for my game.

So I promptly got them to change this, and about 2 orders down the line the SAME thing happens... sigh

i also had to change and it was quite an experience to get the correct details in.

I want to moan in somebody`s ears. But from what I`ve seen in the posts, sounds like a waste of time.
Like the one guy mentioned in another post, it`s such a shame, cause their services and stock is quite
good, but their website is  compared to take2 (wishlist/orders/stock availability check etc.) for example.

I have had not problems with BT Games, yet. Order online, and pay in store. I agree on that their site can be better though. Like a previous poster mentioned, I prefer Take2 too!

And that's why I order online and collect and pay in store.
I know of a lot of people who had bad experiences with BT, I've been lucky so far with the exception of a snotty girl at the Menlyn store who told me she was too busy to help me over the phone on a Monday afternoon. Other than that I've never had any problems with them.

Been there, done that.

I've had endless grief with them. Actually, where's the last thread I started on this?

Oh, there it is, Another BT Games complaint thread.

Long story short:

Spoke too soon.

Just fetched my Duke Nukem Forever: Balls of Steel edition from BT... And had to pay in R45 because APPARENTLY there was only R500 on my account???

Now, maybe it's just me, but according to this e-mail (and every other order in my account) it's PAID for:

I am SO fucking through with these assholes.

"whistling:

Was DNF worth all this trouble for you? No more bt for me unless there really really is no other retailer...

Well that's the thing.

If you order from BT you at least have some CHANCE, anywhere else you're basically screwed if you order a CE and quotas get reduced or whatever. I've already lost my local order for the Deus Ex CE because of that and had to order internationally (yay EU spouse).

I've actually just pre-ordered the collector's edition of Mass Effect 3 from them... I know it's just asking for trouble but if it appears on Take2 or Kalahari.net (yay eBucks) then I'll grab it from there instead.

As for whether or not DNF was worth it? I like it. I don't have an issue with it but then I'm not a FPS gamer so I take all of those kinds of games with a truckload of salt. And I'm happy to have it, so no complaints :)

The BT Site is a bit of a mess.

I wont say I hate it but the occasional bugs and stuff do tend to cause frustration.

Links often link to nothing, or totally unrelated information.

But my biggest gripe is the listing of "Preplayed Available" titles. Ok, it's all good and you can save a buck or two buying preplayed (PP). Well, it doesnt help if the titles arent frequently updated. I've made numerous online orders for PP and almost always the eventual reply is that its out of stock. An indicator at which store the specific pp title is will also help as it's often quicker to phone the store than to wait for the clerk to decide to check their orders.

Which brings me to a point someone else also mentioned. SERVICE. Even if the website is stellar but the store personnel are lazy losers in dyer needs of a shower, it wont help. The amount of times i've ordered online just to eventually receive a reply a week later never ceases to amaze me. Note: If it takes you a week to respond to my order, I've already bought it elsewhere.

A lot of the staff are also cocky little sh*theads that I've on more than one occasion had to restrain myself or else we would've had a Postal incident. The fact that you "lost" my pre-order bonus goodies is not my fault and by no means something you joke to me about.

Lastly, if the "mighty" BT ever reads this, get your checkout till points sorted!!!! There's no joy in waiting 15 minutes per paying customer 'cos "the system/printer/till/sales-rep brain is slow".

Wow, after writing that I'm actually questioning why I even spend money with them...
