The 10 most dissapointing games of the last year

That list is shockingly disappointing. I thought yay, entertaining read and was disappointed to find it was absolute bullshit. Crysis 2 is immense fun and while not much like its predecesor, I can not say I was disappointed by it (So far. Don't have much time for gaming so chuck in 10 mins here and there :P), Dead Space 2 was anything but disappointing if I am to believe anyone I have spoken to so far, Same goes for LA Noir...

Duke I can honestly say grinds my gears. I play 5 mins every couple of days (from one load screen to the next) and every time I'm done, I feel like I need to game. The way I feel after weeks of no gaming.

This seems to be more like a list of games that were picked out a hat.

Fable 3 was shocking :O Worst graphics ever. Worse than duke by far. Most intensely boring game. I tried the Coop with a friend and we were rolling on the floor laughing because it was just that bad. That game should have been number 1 on any disappointing/crap game list. Glad I rented it. But I did feel like I should have destroyed it, rather than given it back to the DVD store, as the world would have instantly been a slightly better place.

Maybe it is my own fault for expecting something comparable to Oblivion. But wow. Disappointment doesn't begin to describe what I felt towards Fable 3

Oh I'm with you on that one. Glad I played it on my friends Xbox when it came out (years ago) instead of waiting for that crap they made for PC.

Yah, that list is pretty random. Although, it doesnt claim to be anything other than it is. A user voted list of games they found disappointing. They list in no way claims to be based on sales, critic reviews etc. What is interesting is how far user review and critic review deviate from each other. If you take a website like Internet Movie Data base, where the ratings are mostly user driven, they seem to compare quite well with critic scores. Are gamers just a fickle bunch of bastards that can't be pleased? :-D

For me, Dragon Age 2 would definitely be there. (also Dungeon Siege 3). Both games, although not inherently flawed, were just underwhelming, unsurprising, boring cross genre games.

P.S. I'm with you guys on this one. Even Molyneux said it wasn't a great game.

I still have fond memories of playing Duke1 & 2 side scrollers. They were a hit during the same time as Bio Menace, Commander Keen & Monster Bash.

Yea dude... epic epic games that. I think someone did a remake of Duke2 in full 3D couple of years ago with a very nice engine. i should look for that again. Was good fun.

I would have said Brink was my most disappointing game this year, but come to think of it, it turned out to be so bad that I actually just don't care enough about it to be disappointed by it. Does that make sense?

Same goes for most of the other failed games that came out this year. :D

Totally makes sense. It's like Homefront.

I did, several times. I knew Crysis 2 wasn't going to be like the first one. It was still a very enjoyable shooter albeit way more limited in scope.

I agree, it was fun, but technically going on what the topic is, it was a disappointment. Top 10?, wouldn't go that far.?

Wow Fable 3, what a let down, i actually think it was worse than 2.

Oh geez, I stopped paying attention to this series after the first game. The first one was epic, but then they totally killed it. Kinda sad, as I still remember the first one as one of the most coolest games I've played.

It was clear to me before both those games came out that they'd stink so yeah no disappointment there

Lol. Wierd how Fable 3 managed to get generally good reviews and stuff. eg. "Mike Anderiesz: Despite a few niggles, Fable 3 aspires to greatness and finds it surprisingly often."

I found it to be quite easily the most wasted 20 minutes of my life :/

The interaction options with people, you can A) Say hello or B) Burp in their face. What a bloody descision :O OH MY GOD! how will I know which to choose?! stupid game. I wasted like 20 bucks or more renting that crap :/ Lol.

Definately Falbe 3 for me, I enjoyed Fable 2, but just couldn't get into 3.

Also, is DA2 more then a year old? That was another big dissapointment

Wow, that sounds terrible...wtf were they thinking?! It's just amazing how they could not have realized that Fable 3 might just be the shittiest game ever made? Geez man, I'll even take Brink over that any day!
