Managing your play lists !?

How they hell do you people do it? Maybe I should quit my job and just play games so I can get through them all

/suffers from Play Listâ„¢ Depression

Other options is not buying any new games till every last game has been played, but that's not going to happen with all the good games that keeps on coming out each year and my need to erm collect and play later :D

You just need to sit down load up your game and just play. But make sure you don't have something coming up in a few hours since that will just make you stress and not play the game but most likely agitate you. And soon you will be trough your game list, or just buy less RPG that takes 30+ hours to complete :p

One by one and promise yourself not to touch another game until you're done :)

It's the only way to do it.

Just play and don't worry about OMG I have x number of games to finish.

Same. Even started having these moments where I find a game in my Steam library & can't really recall buying it. :o Oh well...score!

Even better if I get the chance I play bfbc2 mp, which by definition can't be "finished".

The problem is too many games, not enough time!

And when I do settle in to a game, I find myself growing bored of it too quickly!

And when you don't load in to a game for a good few days, it just becomes a lump of space on your HDD :)

I find the best thing to do is make sure you only playing one game at a time and don't worry about what you have in your backlog. This stops you from getting into that situation where you get half way into a game then don't touch it for a while and when you get back you can't remember what was happening.

It also acts as positive feedback because as you get deeper and more immersed in a game you want to play it more and thus increase your chances of finishing. Finished several 60+hr games using this technique and in instances where I have broken this rule and started playing another game while having one unfinished those games are still sitting in limbo.

Divide and Conquer. :)

Hmmm, I agree with monk, but I also feel that since I have less time, many games I get under go a process of natural selection. They compete for my time and the winner gets focussed on. The loser gets added to the backlog for a day when I've got nothing better. I've done that with pretty much all the Fallout DLC, playing them when I have nothing better. It also helps to not get into epics when you don't have a lot of time e.g. The Witcher just doesnt mix with being busy! :-D
