Lord of the Rings Online

So what does that mean?

That means you can't download the patch on its own or get it from a friend etc. You'll have to patch via the game launcher (which is terrible, judging by my original 10GB update that took forever on my 4mb line)

It means that I will be begging you again for a full client on DVDs using overnight postage, which I will pay for of course.

Please?

Yeah, sure. No problem. Will take me a while though on my 384k line :p

Also, I am going to be in Durban from the 27th of Spetember to the 2nd of October, so will only be able to download after I get back...

Hey all.

I was thinking..... if i start off with a F2p account, and really love the game and open up a VIP account, because i dont want to buy quests and things like that. i would rather pay and get all of them without hassel. now if i open up a VIP account, will i loose my F2P things (my character)?

not at all. You only gain benefits. Once your subscription lapses, then you only "lose" access to things you have not purchased yet.

please add me started playing lotro like 4 days ago loving it. Playing on Snowbourne
Name: Sinestro

Any SA kinships around?

There used to be a while back, got disbanded when people left. We are all in different kinships (guilds). I am a member of The Suffering, a casual guild, good people, all mostly brits. Missm is a member of another kin etc.

so if me and a buddy want to join one of these kinships how would we go about it?
we still like level 20 but ye gonna play for a while

usually there will be a message that goes out pretty much on the regular in the LFF channel that lets people know the kinship leader is looking for recruits. You PM him back and bob's your uncle. If you are on Snowbourne there is a casual kin called The Rangers of Eriador. I'm in with them. Nice people, again mostly Brits. You should can PM Madrin and he should let you in, nice bunch of people, generous with crafting goods and friendly to boot.

You can also check out The Suffering (my kin), http://www.the-suffering.org/forum/ for an app (formality). Also the same as strawberry posted, helpful, good people. I think most casual kinships in LOTRO are like that, simply because of the playerbase is so established and mature.

If you need help or just a chat, stick Pryn, Wryn and Thryn on your friends list, those are my characters.

Yeah, you can also check out the Snowbourn forums on the LOTRO Community site. They have section about Kinships and there kinships can post what they are about, recruitment status/options etc. That's where I found the kin I am in, Moria Defenders. Also mostly Brits, but a cool bunch of people :)

u guys dont make it easy now do u ;) so many choices will play abit and probably join up with a kinship around level 30

Hey bos and girls.
